A local breakfast must go-to! If you’re looking for a spot for breakfast on the weekend this is the place. I love breakfast and there is something for everyone. We started with coffee, which was perfectly brewed and piping hot. My entree was the short stack buttermilk pancakes, bacon and a scrambled egg. Our second entree was an acalpulco omelet with chorizo, cheese jalepeno(excluded), onions, home fries( added green peppers and onions) wheat toast. The bacon was delicious, crispy and cooked perfectly. There is also a lunch menu. We will definitely return for breakfast. Coffee was piping hot and really good! I usually brew my coffee at home but coffee was a must on Sunday morning

My fiancé & I have been coming here for years and we both think it’s hands down the best breakfast spot in Delaware Country. It’s just such a family friendly vibe. The service is so friendly and warm and always so quick. After years coming here, I’ve never had a single complaint. Foods great, staff is great, I’d recommend this place 100000x to anyone looking for a breakfast spot in this area. As for food (everything’s good) but the Huevos rancheros is literally the best thing i’ve ever had. Same with the Eggs Benedict (and i’m critical of eggs benny anywhere I go). This place never disappoints and is better than any chain breakfast restaurant I’ve been to!

I have ordered the avocado grilled cheese multiple times in the past few months. It’s delicious every time. The avocado is always ripe and it’s stacked with bacon and ham. My new favorite sandwich.

My wife and I have been on the hunt for a nice, charming, homey spot that serves up good weekend breakfast. Our hunt is over – delicious pancakes, scrapple perfectly cooked and the staff are super friendly. Also, it’s in the heart of Havertown which is adorable and I feel like pretty under-rated. We will definitely be putting Havertown Grille on heavy rotation.

Hello and this is the first time that I visited this place. I have wanted to visit for awhile, because I am looking for a good breakfast and lunch spot. They open at 8 am and close at 2:30 pm every day. Mondays, they are closed. I was trying to figure out where to park. No street parking. They have a parking lot, where other businesses have the ability to utilize for their customers. There is a kiosk where you pay your money, different rates for different times. A quarter purchases 30 minutes for example. I received a receipt and away I went. When I arrived, about noon, I was promptly greeted by Kaysee, who was an employee. I said, I was interested in takeout and Kaysee handed me a menu. They also have dine-in. There is a good amount of seating available. Also, there are bar stools for counter eating. The menu looked great, with a lot of choices to choose from. I decided on a Caesar salad with chicken, a cheeseburger and a turkey club sandwich with side orders of sweet potato fries and tater tots. The cheeseburger was $12.00, the Caesar salad w/chicken was $14.00, the sweet potato fries were $7.00, the tater tots were $5.00 and the turkey club sandwich was $14.00. The subtotal was $52.00, tax was $3.12 and the total was $55.12. I paid in cash but there were other payment options available, like debit and credit card. It didn’t take long to receive my food, like 15 minutes and everything was wrapped expertly in styrofoam containers and placed in a paper bag with napkins and paper utensils. I must say that Kaysee and the owner were very friendly and cordial folk. I asked Kaysee how long the diner was there and the owner said about eleven years. The food was delicious when I arrived home for lunch. The sweet potato fries were the highlight of the lunch!! I will return. Happy Holidays!!!!

The Havertown Grill on Darby Road is a local breakfast and lunch joint in the heart of Havertown. It features a clean, well-lit and open atmosphere and a very attentive and friendly staff. The menu includes standard breakfast fare with several upscale dishes. Ample parking is available at the lot on Darby Rd.
This weekend our tour of Havertown coffee and breakfast establishments brought my companion and me to The Havertown Grill. Conveniently located on Darby Rd, the Havertown Grill is built on the bones of my favorite Havertown greasy spoon: “Hannes”. The address is the same, but so much else has changed for the better. Where Hannes was Gritty, the Havertown Grill is more civilized and refined. In addition to the expected breakfast, the menu includes such things as Nutella, Brioche and Eggs Benedict. They also feature LavAzza coffee in bottomless mugs.
This morning I had Cream Chipped Beef on toast, (SOS), with thick cut bacon and home fries; my companion had Avocado Toast with fruit salad. Servers checked on us regularly, refilling coffee as needed. I think that the owner / chef was even chatting up a customer in the other room. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The cost for a large breakfast for two with extra bacon and an iced coffee came to about $25. Do yourself a favor and bring a friend to this great, local establishment!
