I can’t say enough good things about the team at Haven Hot Chicken in Middletown. They’re incredibly kind, generous, and always willing to give back to the community. They provided an amazing donation for Emergency Nurses Week, and everyone at the ER was so thankful. The food was outstanding, and it genuinely made the day brighter for so many people.
It’s rare to find a business that puts so much heart into what they do, both in their food and in the way they treat people. Thank you to the Haven Hot Chicken team for your generosity and for always showing up for the community.

I visited last night and was impressed with our server, whose name started with G – she’s a lovely lady who deserves a 5/5 rating! However, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. Our tenders and sandwich were a letdown. The sandwich had a strong oil smell, which was off-putting. The tenders were also surprisingly small, almost like kid-sized portions. On a positive note, when we complained about the size, the Togo order of tenders was upgraded to jumbo size, which was a nice touch. That being said, the bill came out to be around $55, which felt steep considering the quality and quantity of food. To improve, the restaurant should focus on serving the right quantity, especially at that price point. Despite the food issues, the service was great, thanks to our server. With some improvements, this place could be great.

So today I placed an order through UberEats January 29th. When my order arrived and I opened the bag, there was sauce all out. I called the store and the manager told me that it was not their problem, although, one of your incompetent workers put sauces in the bag, rather than putting them inside of one of m the containers since they have tops on them. That was completely inappropriate, not only for the person who packed the order but for the manager who told It was not their problem. Do better

I’ve been to the Middletown location a few times, but this was my first time when Gretchen was working. We placed a large-ish order and there were people already waiting for their food, as well as pick-up orders being placed. Gretchen was very friendly and professional. Not only did she apologize for the wait, which wasn’t long at all, she threw in a freebie for our time. Her friendliness surpassed was expected of her, and left a lasting impression. She 100% deserves a raise.

Apparently, there are like 6 or 7 of these restaurants throughout the state, with the Middletown location just recently opening, luckily, I was in Middletown this day. A very unassuming look from the outside, slightly intriguing…, however, once inside, I liked what I saw, very clean with plenty of seating, it seemed most were taking their meals to go. The staff was wonderful, all of them, and a huge shoutout to the Manager Steve. I got “The Sandwich”!! Buttermilk marinated boneless chicken breast – huge, crisp, and juicy, unbelievably incredible – wow, puts most places to shame. You choose the heat level, I went with the Medium Spice they call proper spice, I was warned, it certainly was proper, but I recommend the medium spice for your first visit and work your way up to medium and spicier. Great sides, banana pudding, lots of sauces for the tenders and just a great new experience with fun different option. Yes!! Go as soon as possible.

Their menu may be fairly simple, but the food is excellent. This is easily one of the best chicken restaurants in the area. The location isn’t exactly the most convenient and there is limited seating inside if you’re looking to dine in. Despite that, the food is absolutely worth it.

The chicken sandwich was HUGE! The chicken was tender and crispy, well seasoned and flavorful. We got the Proper Hear and the Haven….the Haven was super spicy but my husband loved it. Definitely will come back to one of the location. Worth the hype and money.

BANGIN. If you like hot chicken this is the place! Seemed a little expensive but the tendies were very big. Nice and spicy! Ranch was one of the better ones I’ve had. My mouth is watering just writing this review, and I can’t wait to have it again.

Thr food was decent and I would be going back however I paid $15 for a family size banana pudding and never received it. I made multiple attempts to contact the restaurant or company thru email, support, and phone numbers. I have never received the food i paid for or the money that was taken
