Reviews
We fell in love over Indian food and being at this restaurant reminded us why we fell in love, making us remember the heart that people have and the care and love individuals put in their food. Our waiter was so happy to experience us and to tell us about his life and his stories.
If you are looking for a restaurant to go back in time and experience true Indian cuisine, beautiful decorations, heartfelt conversations and smiles bigger than Giants. This is your place. Enjoy everyone! Much love.
My partner and I ordered nearly $90 worth of food for dinner. The restaurant was warm, and we were already uncomfortable and sweating while waiting for our meal. The worst was yet to come.
After waiting for a significant amount of time, one of the servers or waiters came to our table and did not ask about our food or apologize for the wait. Instead, he had the audacity to ask US to LEAVE OUR TABLE and “step to the side.”
Let me be perfectly clear: we were paying customers who had already placed a substantial order, and we were told to vacate our table as if we were loiterers. We were not offered an explanation, an apology, or an alternative place to sit. The sheer disrespect and lack of basic customer service is staggering.
The message this sends is that they value turning tables more than they value the customers sitting at them. We left immediately without eating a single bite. I would have rather thrown $90 in the trash than give it to an establishment that treats its patrons with such contempt.
Avoid this place at all costs. The food could be fit for royalty and it still wouldn’t be worth this kind of humiliation. Awful, awful service.
Please take the time to eat here when looking for something other than burgers, pizza and subs. It is also worth the trip if living outside of town. I’ve also noticed online ordering is available but it doesn’t look like the full menu is available for that, although I’m sure calling for take out would get the full menu.
I am going to miss this place so much! I am so mad I discovered it right before getting ready to relocate!
It wasn’t busy since it was off hours. We were greeted by a polite gentleman and was told we can sit anywhere we want. He proceeded to give us menus. He gave us ample time to make our selection. We chose pani puri for appetizer then my husband opted for their masala dosa while I ordered the chicken korma. I love that they have two options for meal sizes, the 8 oz and 16 oz. I only had the 8 oz and I still had some leftovers.
The pani puri was tasty though a bit different from the ones we’ve previously had. I had a bite of the masala dosa too and that was also delicious. The portions were not humongous which was appreciated.
Prices were reasonable. In fact, the prices are favorable. There are plenty of dining space, the place is clean and staff is friendly. Food is good value for sure so I am positive we’ll end up being regulars.
If you love Indian food, I suggest you give Haveli a try!
I ordered the Dal fry, garlic Naan, and Rose Lassi, followed with a ginger chai and mango ice cream. They do ask about spice levels. I chose a 3 for the Dal fry which is right in the middle. It’s right at the point where you know it’s spicy, but not overpowered by it. The spice Levels are from 1-5, 5 being the spiciest.
The garlic Naan was buttery and garlic and crisp on the edges; soft on the inside.
The ginger chai was a perfect way to end the meal followed by the mango ice cream. From my experience at Indian grocery stores, I could tell it is an Indian ice cream-(creamy and delicious).
I really enjoyed the bright decor, and I only wish there were more of it. While I am not Indian, the atmosphere felt very homey. I will return again soon.
I’ve tried a few dishes:
– The Tandoori Chicken was delicious and had a rich, flavorful taste.
– The Chole Bhautre was also tasty and I highly recommend it.
– The Masala Dosa was nice, but the Sambhar lacked flavor and could be improved.
Overall, this is a decent Indian restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and good service.
