I had always heard good things about this place , then I read the mixed reviews. I decided to try it anyway. We arrived at 8 pm, the place was empty and they were scheduled to close at 9. Selected our table and was seated. I asked the waitress were the oxtails tender , she spoke in a very low tone and informed me that they were a bit on the firmer side. We ordered empanadas to start. The beef was good, chicken was ok. I proceeded to order sautéed chicken. It was chicken breast pieces, some were dry , but it was very salty. I wanted yellow rice but they were all out. I would try this place again with hopes of a better meal. My friend had garlic shrimp and didn’t finish them. Their sandwiches look good.

Decent portion . We tried Cuban sandwiches ( turkey) which was good . Also opted for a meal option with roasted chicken . The rice and the beans were blend in taste . The roasted chicken was okay . Good place to sit down and enjoy your email . The servers were polite and welcoming . Good coffee

Ordered through Uber eats. They gave the driver one very sealed bag missing items. Obviously these missing items were not in the bag ever. The driver had no other bags in car. Live close by sent my husband after asking for missing items to be made for pick up since we live close by. I recently had surgery and just wanted the meal I ordered. They will never get my business ever again. And I will be spreading the word on the poor customer service we received from this establishment with our friends in the complex. We gave the the opportunity to correct it. Shame on the establishment for declining the opportunity.

I had the pleasure of trying Havana restaurant in Bloomfield NJ. The roast pork and ham were good and fresh, but I felt like I didn’t get enough. On top of that, there was not enough of a mustard and pickle taste, but the cheese was very present. Odly enough the bread, which makes or breaks the cuban sandwich was solid. It wasn’t pressed as much as I wanted it to be, but had an amazing crunch. It was never soggy. Overall this was a 7.5/10 cuban sandwich.

Certain staff give different customer service. The lady that’s normally there in the morning with the pony tail is ALWAYS SWEET & KIND ! I love when she is there however, a lady with blonde hair & brown highlights is very rude. Whenever I go there & she’s there, I turn back around because she’s not friendly at all. I believe her name is Liliana or something with an L, she’s not friendly what so ever & the gestures she will do are fake cause she’ll flare her nostrils or roll her eyes when she faces the mirror not knowing it’s a mirror in front of her. Over all, she is not a nice person and It really suck because the owner is sooooooo nice & friendly.

I would like to say that this place has pretty good food. One of the issues I usually have with Hispanic food is that it is usually over-salted. I like the amount of salt in the food and the portions are decent. One of the most difficult things to make, especially when ordering takeout, is fish. I’m happy to say that the fish was fresh and tender. The pricing is a little higher than I would expect, but I would choose this place because of the quality of the food.
