I enjoyed a chicken empanada, a guava and cheese pastry, and a croquette. Everything was tasty and satisfying. The service was super friendly, which made the experience even better.
It turned into such a simple but enjoyable little moment, sitting on their bench, eating my food, and watching the traffic go by. Sometimes the unplanned stops are the best ones.
Las mariquitas were delicious. The frijoles colorados were nice. The fried pork was moist and tender, needed a little salt. The ropa vieja tasted too much like tomato sauce. El cortadito was bitter. La crema catalana was eggy and overcooked.
$45 for a carafe of Sangria!
Havana’s flan – soft, sweet, and bright.
One slow bite – and time stands still,
sugar, cream, and Cuban thrill.
It was unforgettable coffee & Flan de Caramelo. I will recommend this place to all my friends!
We started with the Tostones a la Milanesa, golden-fried plantains topped with melted cheese, and it was the perfect introduction—crispy, savory, and completely addictive. Next came the Ropa Vieja, a Cuban classic of shredded beef simmered in a rich tomato-based sauce with peppers and onions. It was tender, flavorful, and comforting, the kind of dish that makes you feel at home even if you’re miles away.
The highlight of the night was the Bistec Especial Havana. Juicy, well-seasoned steak cooked to perfection, it was served with all the traditional sides that made the plate complete. This dish alone is reason enough to return—it truly lived up to its “especial” name.
For dessert, the experience continued with the warm hospitality of our server, Nohemy, who made the evening even more enjoyable. She was attentive, kind, and had excellent recommendations. Her welcoming energy matched the heart of the restaurant and made us feel like family.
Overall, Havana Restaurant captures the soul of Cuban cuisine with authenticity and care. Every dish was crafted with love, every bite told a story, and the service was outstanding. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal, a taste of home, or simply want to discover what Cuban food is all about, Havana is a must-visit. We left satisfied, smiling, and already planning our next trip back.
