After a great hike with family and friends, Havana Kitchen was the perfect ending to our day. Incredible food, outstanding service, and such a great atmosphere.
We ordered the Ropa Vieja with white rice, black beans, and platanitos maduros, absolutely authentic and packed with flavor. The Fricasé de Pollo was just as delicious, tender and perfectly seasoned, served with white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. We also tried three empanadas: pollo con cilantro y queso, pollo con mojito, and carne molida, each one fresh, crispy, and full of amazing taste, and the pan cubano con queso was simple but so satisfying.
The café cubano was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. Everything tasted authentic and full of flavor. Thank you, Havana Kitchen in Temecula — we loved it! Definitely going back and recommending it to friends and family.

So sad. I wanted to love this place but unfortunately my experience wasn’t the best.
Came in for brunch (not busy) and they had limited menu and drink items. No beef empanadas and no beer. So a mimosa it was. That’s where it got weird. We were served warm mimosas because it was their “last one, and someone didn’t refrigerate it. Instead of offering to chill it on ice, they offered ice in a cup , in addition to applying the tip on top of the taxed total. Hmmmm…probably won’t be back.
On the plus side. The food was alright and the cashier that took our order was very sweet.

For my first visit I was excited to try a new spot. My first interaction at the register was very pleasant and was very enthusiastic about the menu and the items I ordered (chai late and bodega sandwich). I sat down and patiently waited for my order. The drink came out first and smelt wonderful. I had ordered a chai and received coffee. At the register there was a different women now taking orders and I asked for a remake of what I ordered, which seemed to confuse her (red flag) and continued to wait. My remade drink came and it was just hot water with a little bit of steamed milk. At this point im waiting for my food. 45 minutes have gone by and my patience has run out. I ask to change my order to go. About 10 minutes later my order comes out. I check it before I go and it looks rushed as if they had completely forgotten about the food order. $14 for a very sad breakfast sandwich. Mostly bread. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

❤️ Love this Cuban spot! The red + golden glow makes it super cozy and relaxing.

Every little detail in the décor—from the artwork to the meaningful words on the walls—really captures the authentic spirit of Cuba.

The food is fresh and light (never greasy!), and the coffee ☕✨… wow, so rich and aromatic—I couldn’t leave without grabbing two bags of beans! Friendly staff + cute little details (even a cat ) made my visit extra special. Definitely coming back!

Great spot for Cuban food! This is the third Cuban restaurant I’ve tried, and it’s definitely been the best so far. The flavors were bold and authentic, and everything tasted freshly made with high-quality ingredients.

There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which is a nice plus. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the ordering process—you order at the counter, and while the food menu is easy to find, the coffee menu is only available at the counter itself, which can get crowded.

Overall, highly recommend this place if you’re craving flavorful, well-prepared Cuban food!

We’re back at Havana Kitchen in Temecula, and honestly, it feels so good to be here again. After a recent trip to Miami, we drove around for hours looking for a Cuban restaurant that serves breakfast—including empanadas—and couldn’t find a single place in Miami nor the surrounding area ! You drove around for a couple hours at least ! Can you believe that? It made us appreciate Havana Kitchen even more, so now we tell everyone: this is hands down the best Cuban spot in the world.

This time, we had their fresh potato balls, which were prepped just yesterday, and of course, their incredible ropa vieja. It’s my favorite, and they make it even better as a breakfast dish by simply adding an egg on top. Pure perfection. And their café con leche? It’s unbeatable—sweet, warm, and so comforting. I’d take it over Better Buzz (the coffee shop down the street) any day. Their drinks are great, but Havana Kitchen’s café con leche is on another level.

We also grabbed a Chicken Cilantro Empanada Kids Meal to-go because it’s our firstborn’s favorite, and honestly, it’s so good I might get one for myself next time. I’m just so thankful to have such an incredible Cuban restaurant so close to home. Havana Kitchen really is the best!

We went in on 2/14 around 2 pm and the restaurant was not even half filled. Maybe almost half filled and we went to the counter and the cashier promptly warned us that our food would take 40 minutes. We were kind of taken aback but took her word for it. We asked if anything on the menu could be prepared faster. She said, “Yes, if you get a side of beans and rice and maybe one empanada that would be faster.” Because of this we then asked, “What about the empanada bowl?” (Comes with beans, rice, 3 empanadas, and maybe one plantain as a garnish- so same ingredients as the ones she mentioned). She said that would take 40 minutes as well… The combo contained the same parts she said would be faster. It seems like she was actively discouraging people to order as she said the same thing to the person before us.

Had the Cafe Latte. In terms of taste, I didn’t think there was much of a difference from this Cuban Latte from regular Lattes? Maybe just the use of sweet condensed milk? Overall, it was good to okay, with not much distinction.

Came in to get the only 2 things I get from here, and I cannot explain how shocked I was that the empanadas were significantly smaller than usual, while the price did not see any decline. This will be my last time here.
