We ordered the Ropa Vieja with white rice, black beans, and platanitos maduros, absolutely authentic and packed with flavor. The Fricasé de Pollo was just as delicious, tender and perfectly seasoned, served with white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. We also tried three empanadas: pollo con cilantro y queso, pollo con mojito, and carne molida, each one fresh, crispy, and full of amazing taste, and the pan cubano con queso was simple but so satisfying.
The café cubano was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. Everything tasted authentic and full of flavor. Thank you, Havana Kitchen in Temecula — we loved it! Definitely going back and recommending it to friends and family.
Came in for brunch (not busy) and they had limited menu and drink items. No beef empanadas and no beer. So a mimosa it was. That’s where it got weird. We were served warm mimosas because it was their “last one, and someone didn’t refrigerate it. Instead of offering to chill it on ice, they offered ice in a cup , in addition to applying the tip on top of the taxed total. Hmmmm…probably won’t be back.
On the plus side. The food was alright and the cashier that took our order was very sweet.
Every little detail in the décor—from the artwork to the meaningful words on the walls—really captures the authentic spirit of Cuba.
The food is fresh and light (never greasy!), and the coffee ☕✨… wow, so rich and aromatic—I couldn’t leave without grabbing two bags of beans! Friendly staff + cute little details (even a cat ) made my visit extra special. Definitely coming back!
There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which is a nice plus. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the ordering process—you order at the counter, and while the food menu is easy to find, the coffee menu is only available at the counter itself, which can get crowded.
Overall, highly recommend this place if you’re craving flavorful, well-prepared Cuban food!
This time, we had their fresh potato balls, which were prepped just yesterday, and of course, their incredible ropa vieja. It’s my favorite, and they make it even better as a breakfast dish by simply adding an egg on top. Pure perfection. And their café con leche? It’s unbeatable—sweet, warm, and so comforting. I’d take it over Better Buzz (the coffee shop down the street) any day. Their drinks are great, but Havana Kitchen’s café con leche is on another level.
We also grabbed a Chicken Cilantro Empanada Kids Meal to-go because it’s our firstborn’s favorite, and honestly, it’s so good I might get one for myself next time. I’m just so thankful to have such an incredible Cuban restaurant so close to home. Havana Kitchen really is the best!
