If you want European styled coffee, come here. Roasts are on the darker side and yield a beautifully robust and bold chocolate and low acidity taste. Not bitter. Not a biting, citrus-y taste. You can select from medium or dark (their medium runs pretty dark btw) to have your coffee made. Very fair pricing.
Pastries are allegedly from France. I tried the croissant and it was the best I’ve had so far (I have tried MANYYY!).
Big deal if you actually like coffee- they don’t splash piping hot espresso right on the ice. My iced americano was excellent and made correctly. I’ll be back many more times. This is my new favorite shop. 🙂
There isn’t really seating but if you’re looking to grab a coffee and keep walking around it’s good.
We were acknowledged when we came in and decided to order a chai latte with oat milk and a decaf latte. They also have a variety of tea options, which I appreciated, though there wasn’t much variety in pastries at the time of our visit. What caught my attention were the prices, as they seemed quite appropriate and not as expensive unlike virtually any other cafe in the area.
We were told that the chai latte is made with just a bit of gelato, which I thought was quite interesting and made me excited to try it. However, when I took a sip, it was a bit underwhelming—I could taste a hint of vanilla (probably from the gelato), but it wasn’t anything special (7/10). The latte was the better of our drinks but also nothing special.
A downside of this cafe is the lack of indoor seating. There were only a handful of tables outside, so it felt more like a takeaway cafe than a traditional coffee shop. The service was decent for the most part, but overall a bit muted. After all the hype around Tucson’s latest cafe, the entire experience felt slightly underwhelming, though I did appreciate the aesthetic of the cafe and the appropriate pricing of their drinks.
