I was so happy to see that they stay true to the recipes of the original Hattie’s downtown. This one is in a strip mall, away from the craziness on Phila Street during summer. The fried chicken was amazing – hot and crispy. Sweet fries were delicious! Next time I would try other sides. Friendly staff, which I always appreciate. Will go back for sure. Nice and clean, lots of history in the decorations they use. Loved it.

When up that way, I try to stop and get some of the fried chicken. Ordered the combo meal with the double chicken breast. Comes with a drink and one side. The cucumber salad is very good and one of my favorites. I am not a big fan of Coleslaw, but this Coleslaw I do eat and recommend. The key to getting the double is taking one breast off and taking it home and making an additional sandwich.

Been eating here for years. Quality is declining. It’s now Small prices of chicken that is mostly fat. Less seasonings. Price the same.

The fried chicken is easily some of the best anywhere. We had the fried chicken sandwich served on a beautiful, what appears to be homemade bun, toasted perfectly and a side of their home fries. Also had chicken and waffles served with syrup and butter. It kind of reminds me of a place in New York City called Jacob’s pickles.
It’s relatively small dining area keeps it cozy. The best time to visit is likely whenever the track is out of session. They have a nice staff as well.

Went for dinner and it was excellent. Had the Jambalaya…loaded with shrimp and the perfect blend of spice. Just enough fire to keep it tasty and interesting. Friends had the Fried Chicken Sandwich as well as the $12 Chicken Special (which was so much food we had to take it home). Staff was attentive and friendly and the prices were great. Would def recommend.

Great chicken, fast and tasty and never feels like it was sitting under warming lights.
Sides are good and plentiful.
While known for Nee Orleans style fried chicken, their Nashville hot is surprisingly authentic.

I’ve stopped here 2 times, I realized after the first visit that the big daddy combo is the way to go. Get a togo box for the second thigh. I left NOT hungry and very happy that i stopped again.

LOVE! Cant wait to come back. Such a yummy breakfast. My friend is a coffee addict and said their coffee was maybe the best shes ever had. Get the fried chicken, you will not be disapppointed! I ordered it will home fries and a side of maple syrup to dip the chicken in (youre welcome). Home fries are so good, they have like a parmesean cheese thats really unique. Dont forget the beneigts, biscuits & sausage gravy !! Sat on the back patio and it was a gorgeous room as well.

So delicious! Dine in available, only three tables at this time. The prices are great and everything is so fresh! This is part of Hatties in downtown Saratoga Springs. Since it opened in 1938, “Hattie’s” and “Saratoga Springs” are often mentioned in the same breath. Hattie’s has served fine Southern and Louisiana cuisine in a friendly, down-home atmosphere for close to 80 years and has earned legions of fans. Over its long history, the restaurant has provided consistent commitment to its staff, its customers and the community and the original storefront Chicken Shack™ has grown from a beloved neighborhood restaurant to a national institution.

Great chicken and Nashville hot chicken sandwiches. Having ate my way through Nashville hot chicken sandwich options IN Nashville, this definitely competes.
For lunch you don’t need the big boy or whatever the 2 thigh meal option is for the sandwiches.
Accommodated Cole slaw on the side for us and other meal edits without a problem.
Fries and sweet potato fries were slightly soggy. May need to ask for well done but still tasted good.
If I were to return I would split a fry between two people.
Doing fine with Covid protocols and no eat in.
