We came first time in hattis 10ppl walked in Didn’t book a table was last minutes. They gave us a table without any wait we set upstairs.The stuffwerer polite and very welcoming also the atmosphere was so nice. Foodwise 10/10.we ordered some shashlik its came out in sizzlers which was on point also all the food was delicious.we will be back again. Highly recommend. thanks for looking after us

We visited Hatti in search of authentic Indian food. My impression is it is Bangladesh and not Indian. Nevertheless the service was good, the portions were very good, and our overall experience was positive. My husband and I ordered lamb Bhunna and garlic chilli Chicken bahar, butter naan and papadams with the Hatti condiment tray. The lamb and chicken were tender but you could tell it was not freshly cooked chicken consistent with most restaurants these days. The sauce was too gelatinous and not enough individual spice flavor. The Naan was okay.

We ordered three takeaway dishes: Paneer Kadai, Bhindi Dupiaza, and a kids’ Paneer Makhani. Unfortunately, none of the curries tasted anywhere close to authentic. The Paneer Makhani, in particular, had an overpowering red gravy that seemed full of food colouring rather than flavour.
We’ve had some good dishes from here in the past, which is why this was disappointing, but today’s food was a real let-down.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Hatti Indian Restaurant. The food was delicious, full of rich flavour, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. A great place for families or a relaxed evening out. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be returning!

Had a 17 ppl party and they managed well I was sat next to 40 biker table they were loud but were a good neighboring table very polite.
Staff were flat out trying to serve
Food came in good time.
Good room temperature but got hot quick due to lots of people there.
Overall good experience
Our waiter was polite the guy with beard very friendly.
Definitely will visit again.
Hopefully after Christmas when it gets more quite.

I’ve been looking forward to going to hati after all the good reviews I’ve heard, we went on new year’s eve , booked online for a table all good . We got there and it was very busy ,probably over booked as we were told that we could only have the table for an hour and half , that would have been ok if the waiter service was any good . Took a long time for them even to take the order , a couple came in 15min after us and they took their order first ,then us , then their food came out about 10min before ours , when our eventually came out it was cold , I took one bite of a bit of chicken and put it back on my plate , called the waiter who took it back to the kitchen saying they would make it again fresh , 10min later it came out hot but with the same bit of chicken I took a bite out of in it , so it wasn’t cooked again fresh ,I also had prawns on it so they where reheated too . It all tasted rank anyway so we left the lot . First and last time , so disappointing..

We have visited hatti many times.
Usually we have enjoyed it and the food has been spot on.
Tonight wasn’t their best night.
The food wasn’t the best as it’s been previous.
The layout for a large party table was awful! Personally I feel have less tables so customers can have a nice night together that’s the reason they’re out and to eat good food!
I barely spoke to half our table as they was down the bottom and there was barely no room to move.
The worst part of the night for us all was the flies, massive flies flying around everywhere, it was disgusting, trying to eat your food and they fly at you, I wasn’t going to review but purely for hygiene they really need to sort that fly problem out.
We are paying for food yet have flies around us, it was awful! It wasn’t just 1 there was many!
don’t think we will return after this one unfortunately which is sad as hatti used to be the best Indian around for me.

1st visit here, Disappointed really, They don’t serve a Standard sizzling chicken tikka. They don’t have draught beer either. Quite cold as well. Overall a lot better Curry Houses in Newport.

First time ordering from Hatti as our usual Indian takeaway was unavailable. Checked reviews and was quite impressed so decided to order. When food showed up it was clear that the chips were not edible as soon as you took them out of the bag. They felt uncooked in the middle and were stone cold. The poppadoms were also very soft and felt and tasted stale. Very dissapointing as a first time customer.

Awful pilau rice! Literally boiled rice with no aroma. Very disappointing. Chicken tikka in the chicken tikka karahi didn’t have the fresh texture of chicken. Tasted like it was reheated and then cooked again for Karahi. Service was good by the staff but that doesn’t count if the food is not good. I suppose this works for drunk customers.
