We drove from Georgia and were craving food that reminded us of our Southern roots—and this place delivered! The rustic atmosphere perfectly matches the menu. It’s a family-owned and operated restaurant, and the owner/chef even came out to personally check on us. Everything tasted amazing—we honestly couldn’t stop eating! All the food is made from scratch, even the banana pudding, and you can absolutely taste the difference.
The owner is a direct descendant of the Hatfields (and the resemblance is undeniable), which adds to the experience. The décor is full of history, including a wall made from a 200-year-old barn, all built by the owners themselves.
I wish this place also existed in Georgia! It is a must-visit. I’m already sending a recommendation to Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives—IT’S THAT INCREDIBLE!!

This was a random find while out early on a Saturday morning, and what a great find! We loved the atmosphere and vibe of the place. Server was very friendly and attentive. But the food was why we were here, and it was excellent! He had sausage gravy and biscuits, and it was the best he’s ever had! It’s a 120 year old recipe, fabulous! The biscuits are fresh made and delicious. He also had eggs and potato hash, I had a delicious waffle, perfectly cooked thick bacon and tasty grits. Servings were large so we took home leftovers and it was still delicious the next day. They were setting up for a breakfast buffet, which we may have to try. We are definitely coming back here!

Love the design and decor that accompanied the great food. We had a veggie omelet (that was super fluffy!), whole grain toast and avocado along with some teas and coffee. All amazing and the tea selection was extensive and fun to pick from. The chef is kind and passionate. And last but certainly not least the chocolate chip cookie is a must try, it is so good!!! Truly a great experience, highly recommend!

I’ve seen this place on new day Cleveland several times and have been wanting to go there but it is pretty far from home. My wife decided to take me there for my birthday and I absolutely loved it. Amazing food!!!!!!!! Great atmosphere and everyone working was so friendly! Ken (owner) even came out from cooking to make sure all his guests were satisfied. You never see that any longer, we felt so welcome and had such a great time here. Well worth the hour+ drive. We had the loaded fries with pork for an appetizer. Very good! My wife had the pulled pork dinner and I had a full rack of ribs, both were great! We had the white cheddar augratin potatoes for a side, oh my heaven, best ever!!!!!! Then for dessert we had the banana pudding and chocolate chip cookies! Both were amazing. Totally recommend this place! We will definitely be back! Thanks Ken for a memorable birthday!

I heard about this restaurant from a friend who recommended and then I saw Chef Ken on Fox 8 Good Day Cleveland. So glad I came with two of my friends for a holiday lunch. The service was stellar from the moment we walked in until we left. We felt cared for and that the staff were truly there for us to enjoy our time. Our waitress was friendly, welcoming and easy to talk to. The chef even came by at one point to chat once it slowed down. The food was great and we are planning another lunch to try other dishes. There is history in the name and decor. It was all fun to look at. Atmosphere is casual with a laid back vibe and good lighting. My friends and I felt like we found a hidden gem while on vacation! …. But we are locals! Ha. Highly recommend.

Came for lunch and ordered the mac and cheese burger with onion rings! The burger was huge and I couldnt even finish it. Everything tasted great! Our server was attentive and made us feel like we were very welcomed by joking and making fun of my friend with me. It was totally appropriate and we laughed together. It was a great experience all in all.

What really sets Hatfield’s apart is the honesty and warmth you feel the moment you walk in. It’s a truly family-run spot, and that shows in both the food and the service. Jessie, my server, was outstanding! She was very attentive, friendly, and far beyond average. She made the entire experience even better.

Jesse sets the vibe as soon as you walk in the door and she just makes you feel like you’re in ‘Cheers’ and everyone there is your friend. I’ve decided to base my reviews on comparing my smokes @ home to what I partake away from home. And the brisket was moist but on the pot roast side of the scale. No bark or detectable smoke. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Just not OMG material. The potato salad had a nice balance and all the expected crunchy bits. Added just a little yellow mustard but that’s just my personal preference. If in the neighborhood would definitely stop in and try something else. As we were leaving Chief waved and said Have a Great Day, Thanks for coming in.
