Second time lunching here and I’m proud to report that I had the same burger both times! This is the spicy chicken sandwich–the chicken was absolutely juicy! They take a little bit longer than the average fast food burger joints, but I think it’s for a perfectly reasonable given the quality of each bite. I’m a huge fan of their sauces as well! Their ranch seems to be created in-house–it’s definitely one of my favorite formulas. I love that this food place is a literal hole in the wall. It’s creative and well adjusted. All the money seems to be invested into the right aspect of the food experience.

Awesome burger! I got the double smash burger, with the spicy patties. I had it delivered with DoorDash, so I asked for the sauce on the side. Burger arrived hot & fresh and no soggy bun. Might be my new favorite burger now! I’ve walked by a few times and love the art, just never actually stopped by to eat there. Will definitely try it in person next time I’m downtown.

Hate is the new love. Got that spicy smash burger and wow. Sweating while I’m writing this. My sinuses are clear, and I can read/type faster. Enjoyed it to say the least. The burger has delicious deep bold spicy flav. Not for the weak taste-budded. Fries give me them good old skool taste, I appreciate. Make grandma smile. Service was smiley and sweet. Would recommend. Thanks Hate burger. I’ll be back

I never leave reviews, but I felt this was needed. First off 50 dollars for two burgers, fries, and two drinks.. very overpriced. Next, waited around 30 minutes for our food even though it was NOT busy at all. Alright no problem… BUT. Even though our cashier checked with us not once… not twice… but FOUR TIMES that our order sounded correct. Once we got our food we noticed our order is completely wrong, even the Soda was wrong. Burgers were mid—tasted like a 7/11 big bite hot dog—I like 7/11 hot dogs which is why I rate this a 3 on taste. Only good thing about this place is the music shout out System of a Down for making me feel a little better.

It was my first time here. I forgot to take a picture because I was too busy eating it, but I ordered a double cheeseburger with a side of cajun fries and I don’t get the hate from some of these reviews. The food was honestly so good. I think that the price was fair for the portions. Aside from the grease and the slight mess I made, the experience was great. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, and the lady taking my order was extremely polite and friendly. I would highly recommend.

Located at the widest point in Orange Street Alley, this establishment is a walk-up to order at a window outside with no lobby, where my partner, his family and I came for lunch as recommended by the graduate in May. Hate Burger does have windows facing State Street, but that’s just their kitchen. It’s cool to see how your orders are being made. Their menu is simple, offering both meat and vegetarian burger options. Unfortunately, there are no combos; everything has to be ordered separately. We decided on a vegan spicy burger, a spicy burger, a regular cheeseburger, and a regular hamburger. The vegan burger is a vegetarian burger. These were simple, cooked to perfection, and had the right amount of lettuce, tomato, and onions on a brioche bun. It does take a while for our food to come out, and that is because it is being cooked fresh. There were 11 barstools under a covered retractable awning where one could enjoy their meal. The patties were good size, and the burger itself is pretty filling but a little pricey. The fries with the skins left on them were served crispy, hot, and fresh. The staff was friendly. It was a solid meal, and if you are in the area, give it a try.

I was here on a Thursday afternoon, it was a slow and quiet day. I didn’t have to wait in no line so it made the visit that much better, nice and friendly workers. Now the double smash burger was on point, patty and bread ratios done nicely. The burger had a healthy portion of sauce and Big slices of pickles. The fries had great crispy texture, possibly doubled fried. The fries also have the skin on, traditional skin on fries which personally I loved that. Great over all quality, I ordered 2 doubled smash, 2 large fries and 2 lemonades, just over $30 not bad for today’s prices.

Don’t go here if you like meat. Vegan items are prominent, which should have set off alarm bells. I wasn’t sure if I was eating a vegan burger or an overworked, overcooked, expensive beef burger with extra pepper. I was questioning if they gave me the vegan burger the whole time.
Both burgers were terrible. Onion rings were good. Sauces sucked.
The location is cool. Service was acceptable. There was a dog to pet.

Honestly this might be the best burger I’ve ever had Got the double spicy hate Burger ( no tomatoes ) everything about it was great the onions the pickles the lettuce and especially the meat highly recommend this place for anybody looking for a good Burger
The food takes a Little while to come out but they give you a beeper that goes off when it’s done so you can still walk around and shop. They don’t have any tables to eat at but down the street ( half a block ) is a cool spot with picnic tables you can go will definitely be back. Only issue was the fries ( over cooked ) But still a 5 star ⭐️Burger

It’s good and greasy! To clarify, the vegan cheeseburger is a vegetarian cheeseburger, not vegan, but we knew that going in. The location at the wide point in the alley makes it easier to order and wait, especially during covid times. The food is tasty, the menu is simple, and it goes all out on its punk persona. Overall, I like it, but I do need to go wash my face now.
