The food was just ok. Ordered Sammy’s steak sandwich, not sure the steak was actually filet mignon as advertised. The Bavarian pretzel was pretty good, as were the Stube bites. Our server was pleasant. The atmosphere is definitely what you’d expect.

Service was good at first, friendly waitress but then she seemed to lose interest. Only after I realized she never cleared our plates. Left generous tips to make up for sitting and talking so long but the booth didn’t seem to be in demand. Female bartender glared at us several times. Felt from her we were wearing out our welcome. Would give them another try but would be mindful of the service.

Been wanting to try this as German restaurants are hard to come by. We got the combo plate to split. Food came out cold and tasteless gravy was good. The waitress was really great and on top of filling beverages. We were suppose to get $2 off the platter for Saturday night special and did not. I did realize that after the fact.

My wife and I stopped after hiking at Afton State Park. We were immediately greeted by a friendly waitress that was Uber friendly. Service was quick, and authentic. The food was very good and fast to our table from the kitchen. We enjoyed the visit and the hospitality. We’ll be back and have already recommended the location to some friends.

Stopped in for lunch, service was excellent. My wife had the special-roast beef gravy mashed potatoes, it was excellent. I had the Rueben sandwich and it was excellent. The décor is old but reminds you of the history this place has, good home town vibe. We will be back.

Stopped in on the advice from a local business owner. Service was excellent. Staff was prompt and friendly, despite the busy rush. Sauerbraten and schnitzel were delicious! Ice cold beers on tap! What a pleasant experience!

Stopped in looking for authentic German fare given the name. Mostly got a step back in time in terms of the decor. Food was average. Service was excellent.
