The freshest sushi in Huntington Beach or maybe Orange County. We’ve been coming here for dinner and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They also serve amazing desserts. Presentation is as good as the taste! Truly exceptional! Jimmy is the greatest host!

This is some of the best sushi in HB, and maybe in all of OC. Some of their specials are pretty mind blowing (the price tag is too, but that’s sushi/fresh fish!). Service is great. As others mentioned, if you want to be certain of a table, it’s best to book as they are pretty regularly busy. You can go for a great lunch too. Parking is easy. My only negative is the restaurant smells very greasy to me, but that only bothers me upon entering, after that I stop noticing it. Not a lot of ambiance, but this is not unusual for sushi especially in a strip mall.

Reserved table for us. Family visiting from Arizona for the weekend. Very courteous people. Had a great dinner. Our guests really enjoyed the food. Awesome service. Cindy was great and made sure we were taken care of. We ordered combo boxes, sushi rolls and udon soup. All fantastic.
Thank you.

Hashigo Sushi is a little spot tucked into the corner of the Big 5 parking lot. Despite many years of living in the area and visiting the shopping mall I had no clue it was here until other locals mentioned this spot, so keep your eyes peeled so as to not miss the spot. It’s definitely a local spot that is a great kept secret!

The atmosphere was a little packed in which was surprising since COVID regulations were not observed at all but that made the visit a little nicer since we weren’t bothered about wearing a mask during our visit. We sat at the bar to get a full feel of the chef’s specials and environment but next time I will definitely be considering the patio as a romantic option and to avoid the crowd.

The drink options were as expected with the standard variety of beers and sake found at most sushi or Japanese restaurants. We went with the green tea which was surprisingly made from powder but very tasty!  For the food options we tried a few of the daily specials and went with some of the classics we always liked. Everything was tasty and flavorful and the best part was the chef telling us the standard ways to eat each item. My favorite must have been the one with gold and caviar for it was aesthetically pleasing and bursting with flavor that was not just fishy!!

Definitely a great experience and I will visit again!

It was amazing, truly perfect! The fatty tuna, yellowtail belly and the oyster were very fresh! Sushi onigiri was really highly recommend.Matcha ice cream was very tasty with deep Matcha flavor. The grilled Black Cod was rich in oil, very tasty. They also offer the lunch specials with reasonable price too. I would like to try more foods with my friends in future.

I heard that this is one of the better choices for Japanese food in Huntington Beach. What I found was that sashimi and sushi quality was pretty average and in one instance salmon roe was so not fresh that it should not have been served. Octopus slices were too chewy and difficult to swallow. Specialty rolls we had were fine. Black cod steamed with mushrooms and green onion was good but the sauce was a bit too spicy. Given the premium prices on these dishes, they need to improve quality on the basic sashimi and sushi being served. Banana spring roll with ice cream was very good. Soba noodles with fried shrimps was nice except soba is not the freshly made type. Sushi chefs seem to be Japanese.

Collin was absolutely a spectacular server and he took so many photos of me with my friends, yet kept a cheerful attitude and was not annoyed with us in the slightest! He’s kind, intelligent, and just was a delightful human to be around. The food was beyond incredible. I’m in awe of this experience.

Came here to meet a friend that I haven’t seen in a while. This place looks a bit small on the outside but we were seated right away on a Sat noontime. Their menu was extensive that I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat. We ended up getting a sushi platter and some additional sushi. The fish tasted fresh and food came out fairly quick. Would recommend coming here again if ever in the area.
