We stopped by the Hash House in Minnetrista for brunch and were a bit underwhelmed.
We ordered a few things to gauge the menu.
– The Beignets were a little bitter and greasy and also had almost no powdered sugar on them which is not what we expect when we order beignets. They also were all different sizes so some were cooked more than others.
– The cinnamon roll had nice flavor but was a little dry. It was also more of a muffin style cinnamon roll which was an interesting take!
– I ordered the smokehouse hash which had brisket in it and the meat was dry and a little tough. The portion of the hash was a decent size but it was pretty bland and needed to add salt and pepper. The egg’s however were cooked exactly to order which was nice.
– We tried an a la carte pancake that we both enjoyed.
– Other than the food, the inside was a little strange with multiple kinds of music playing at the same time. Our server however was very nice and attentive made sure we had everything we needed.
Overall, our experience here was that the food was a little bland and overpriced for what we got. But the service was good. 3.2/5

It is nice they have a tofu option with their tofu scramble. Vegetables were fresh. Tofu was nothing special, but all together tasted good.
Omelet was a generous size with a nie portion of their bourbon ham inside.
It was quiet in the restaurant as we arrived within an hour of closing, but the service was quick and friendly.

This was our second time. The first time was wonderful. The food and service were both excellent. This time was very disappointing.
I had to ask them to cook the biscuits more as it wasn’t even toasted. I posted a before and after photo. I asked for butter twice and never got it. I thought I recalled the meal to have onions not just scallions. But was told just scallions. Which I think was wrong cause I did end up finding two very small white or yellow onions. I also asked for over easy eggs and they were definitely more medium.
We drive about 25 min to enjoy a nice meal. And it was just very disappointing.
Every time I asked a question the server just seemed very annoyed. We will definitely pick somewhere else next time. They also do not have kid menus.

The inside is decorated really cute. It’s so clean you’d think the place is new. Our server was so welcoming and kind – she made our stay really enjoyable! Once the place started to fill up it was a little slow to get coffee refills – but she was the only server!
Huevoz Rancheros: the fried Tortilla was super crispy! Bean salsa was Smoky and had a ton of flavor. I got the green chili pork on the side and totally recommend it!
Loaded Hash with pork belly: potatoes and belly needed to be cooked a bit longer to be crispy. Still tasted really good! The biscuit looked home made and was fluffy.
Coffee was pretty weak, but you get real cream.

Started our date day adventure here, and my goodness glad we did.
Hour and a half away from our home but we are planning on making the trip again just for the Hash house.

Atmosphere and service were okay. I came for the food which was subpar at best! When the restaurants name is hash house and you have loaded hash I expected it to be on point. No seasoning, bacon chunks uncooked and very fatty! Even the slices of bacon were hardly warmed up! I’ve heard great things but the experience did not live up to expectations.
