As a Bridgeport native this is one of the only Jamaican food spots I’ll ever patronize. Been coming here for 10 years , The owners are very friendly and have been around for about 20 years plus. They treat you like family, and are very generous with their food. A little pricey, but it’s worth it for the food, service , atmosphere and quality. If you know Jamaican food you know Jamaicans are not friendliest lol , or generous so if you appreciate stuff like that, then come to Harvey’s. I recommend the curry chicken, beef patties are always a hit with the coco bread and some days they have oxtail and red pea soup and it’s delicious! Also try my favorite juice that’s homemade by them it’s cucumber , ginger and honey. Absolutely amazing!

The lady was so nice and welcoming the place was cute and cozy. However I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage it was awful the food was so bland no seasoning it was like hospital food or better yet school food. The rice and beans was mushy. So bad I threw the food away

While the staff and the atmosphere were welcoming, the food was underwhelming. Honestly, it tasted like hospital food. The gravy tasted like thick-it in it. There wasn’t much flavor. The rice and peas were mushy. The cabbage was soggy. Proceed at your own risk. Wish I could’ve gave them a better review!

I literally just left from here the oxtail looks weird has no flavor what’s soooooo ever gravey no flavor the only thing good on my plate was the cabbage I just spent 20$ on this food on palisade ave you would think a new restaurant would be on their ps and qs and this is awful the the oxtail does not look like oxtail it looks fake

The only Jamaican restaurant my husband n me eat at. If they r closed for some reason we don’t try any other Jamaican spot. The r very friendly n generous with the food. When I walk in they already know what I want which make me feel like we have a bond a relationship. Thanks Mr n Mrs Harvey. We love the food

Dessert was a NO..Dry “older” cake..Carrot Juice was Delish but OVER PRICED. They have $5 lunches which is my reason for buying 2 meals. Lunch and dinner..Nice incentive for working ppl.
