We had the BEST time celebrating a 1 year olds birthday with family (party of 10 adults and 1 child). Service was incredible—McKenna was quick on requests and went above and beyond with recommendations and a little slice of cake and a candle for the birthday girl. McKenna recommended several drinks and entrees—all were 10/10. The bacon pasta, the fish entrees, the apps….i can’t say enough good things about our experience. All the food was fresh, hot, and so delicious. Cocktails and mocktails were so good. The pierogis were a favorite for everyone.

Had dinner with friends. Good service, good food, good cocktails. I had the trout with almonds. It came with a steamed cabbage and Yukon mashed potatoes. The cabbage was very different, but good. The trout and the potatoes were excellent! My husband had the chicken and others had the salmon and the pulled pork sandwich, all stated their food was excellent also. We will return!

We had an amazing dinner! My wife and I went to Harvey Wallbangers on a Thursday night and had a banger of an experience. The food was absolutely fantastic, both dishes were full of flavor and made with care. I had the steak and my wife had the eggplant ravioli. Even though the restaurant seemed a bit shorthanded that evening because of the weather, the service never slipped. The server went out of her way to make us feel welcomed, looked after, and unhurried.
We left impressed, satisfied, and already talking about our next visit. Highly recommend Harvey Wallbangers for a great night out in Rockford! 5 stars!

Not sure if it was an off night or what, but our food wasn’t very good. We ordered the chopped liver appetizer, the charred broccolini, the fried potatoes, greens salad, and the Harvey Burger. The broccolini arrived room-temp and extremely chewy–we ended up barely touching it. The burger was ordered medium, but ended up being borderline rare?? The salad was underwhelming and not worth $7. I will say the fried potatoes were good, and so was the service!

Sometimes you show up at a random place and it just exceeds your expectations… check out Harvey Wallbangers if you are downtown in Rockford. This could be the new standard that the rest must live up to. It started with the chopped liver app, which I’ve never ordered before. Absolutely delicious. The chicken thighs entree was so flavorful, I want the recipe. My wife’s pasta was super good too. Make this your next date night so we can keep this train rolling!

Really had an amazing meal. Andrew was our server – meatloaf was great but the steak was really the highlight. Dessert pierogis were delicious, I wasn’t expecting them to be as good as they were! Prices were super reasonable. We’ll be back.
