I went here a few weeks ago with a group of about 10 people for a family member’s birthday. They were so nice and accommodating. We had preferences for some family members that we expressed in a small way and they went out of the way to help and make it happen.
But for starters the people in Valet are so friendly and welcoming. Nice isn’t even the appropriate word for them. Then the whole staff including our waitress Sophia was so helpful and absolutely pleasant. Her demeanor and care was amazing. Plusnshe handled a few of my family members multiple questions with such ease and joy. Thanks to her for dealing with that haha.
Also the food was plentiful. Among all though one of the best staff I have seen in a while.

My family and I have wanted to try Harvest & Ale in Oakland, NJ, for years since I go to school nearby. We’ve always heard such great things about it, and I’m so glad we finally went—it completely exceeded our expectations!
Everything from the food to the drinks was spectacular. I ordered the “Farm Burger,” which was packed with flavor—the garlic aioli on top was the perfect finishing touch. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, which made the entire experience even better.
The atmosphere was terrific. We sat upstairs, which had a more formal and intimate vibe, while downstairs seemed more casual and relaxed. The lighting, mood, and overall ambiance were set perfectly for a cozy night out.
Our waitress was fantastic—friendly and attentive. She gave us just the right amount of time to decide on our orders without making us feel rushed.
I usually don’t write reviews, but Harvest & Ale stood out and left a lasting impression. If you’ve been thinking about going, I highly recommend it—you won’t be disappointed!

What a wonderful first dining experience here. It was our waitresses first day serving and she was excellent. Hear of this restaurant through a social media platform and decided to give it a try for date night. Boy were we not disappointed the food was so delicious and flavorful where you can literally taste each individual flavor. I had the salmon and my husband had a chicken dish. Love how you are served a full bottle of cold water for your table. Can’t wait to come back again.

Excellent meal, the food tasted very fresh and the ambience on the 2nd floor is great.
I had the buttermilk scallops ($40, excellent) and they were so good. I would get them again. We also had the crab tartlette ($16, okay), swordfish special, and creme brulee ($12, very good).
Really enjoyed the farm to table/local ingredients, it does make a difference in taste.
For dinner parking, we had to do the complimentary valet and it worked out well.

I’ve been here a couple of times and have never left disappointed. Today, I ordered food to go, and once again, I’m not disappointed. I’m very pleased that they genuinely care about good quality and fresh ingredients. The hostesses are also very nice. So far, this is my favorite place to go for a good dinner.

Food was great but the burger bun made it hard to eat to the point I had to cut it all up with a knife and fork. The barrata was very good and fresh and the wife’s had quiche was good but could have used a little more cheese. Still was great. Service was really good and they use a pasta straw which is better than paper. Complimentary valet seems k we kill for much a small lot but when we left it was clear they need to be all over how people parked to fit all the cars. Overall worth the visits

We were a party of four. First time getting together in a long time. Food was good and our server was nice. Our food took almost 45 mins to get to us even though other tables near us got their food quicker and they arrived later than us. While eating our dessert and drinking coffee, the very young hostess came over and said, “It’s been 2 hours and I’m sorry but people are waiting for your table.” I was literally drinking my coffee and eating my dessert still. When we approached the “manager” she was no help at all. I waved to her and she gave me the nastiest look and walked away. As we got up to leave, she finally walked over to us and said, “Ohhhh sorry” It’s not like we were just sitting there having drinks. AND, there were no people waiting for tables!! They were so rude and unprofessional with their delivery to have us leave. Manager tried to blame the server too. In all my years I’ve never been to a restaurant and had them ask us to leave. Regardless of how many people are waiting for a table. Banned!

The food was phenomenal. Our waiter George was spectacular. If I could eat breakfast lunch and dinner here I would! Can’t wait to come back! I had the buttermilk baked scallops, Fried burratta. My fiancée had the halibut. Both entrees and appetizer were exceptional. Everything was cooked to perfection. The chocolate mousse finale did it for me! Love this place. Hats off to the chef.

The ambiance was absolutely incredible! From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you’re greeted with such great vibes that you can’t help but get excited. We sat at the upstairs bar and had some of the best drinks ever! The bartender was amazing—so professional, super friendly, and she kept the brightest smile the entire time. It truly made the experience unforgettable, will definitely be going back!

Went here for a nice dinner with my girlfriend. The service was alright, felt a bit judgemental? But whatever, no helping some people. The service itself was quick however. There wasn’t too much down time between drinks, appetizer, and entrée. I was a bit disheartened to learn they didn’t have the apple cider that was on their menu. The food itself was delicious! The buttered shrimp was cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. I got the salmon burger which was similarly delicious! My girlfriend got the scallops which she loved though she thought her potatoes were a bit overcooked. All in all a nice restaurant if a bit expensive but not outside of what was expected.
