All of the protein was overcooked, the mussels were rubber, even the chorizo. And I got shrimp on the pesto pasta, they had the tails still. And we also tried the Peruvian chicken and rice, most of the chicken was overcooked. And the rice was sort of flavorless, the sauce on the chicken was really good but seemed like the dish besides that sauce was bland. The waiter was very kind, great service. They refunded part of the mussels, we didn’t bring up the rest since at that point we realized it may not have been just a one off bad dish. The decor is also a bit random, is it western? Italian? Deli? Log cabin? I apologize in advance for the opinion, my intention is only to give my perspective, not to hurt anyone.

The Harvest Fried Chicken ($27) lacked flavor, and the batter was noticeably thinner and less crispy than before, there was definitely a recipe change or maybe just an off night. The mac & cheese was creamy, but the vegetable portion was extremely small.
I had the Street Corn Short Ribs ($30), served over polenta with a chipotle sauce. The meat and polenta were very bland, about half the meat was fat, and the chipotle sauce was overpoweringly spicy. My dish didn’t include any vegetables, and neither entrée came with soup or salad, which made the prices feel hard to justify.
Service was fair, though it appeared there was only one server for the entire restaurant.

OMG, thought I was in Italy, or at least “The City” (SF). The mussels and their sauce, so rich. Then the pasta panceta with clams. Hearty al dente hard pasta with a spicy rich sauce that I can’t forget. Never had such meaty panceta. Everyone felt the same, all over the menu. In our own Mt Shasta? We had almost given up. Oh yes, very friendly professional service, too.

We ate here on our journey through California. I had the coconut cod, and it was the best cooked fish I probably have ever had. It was served on a bed of rice, but for the price, really needed a side of vegetables. My husband had fish and chips and devoured it. The place is very nice, with a great vibe and super clean. Would 100% eat here again.

We were here for a vacation. The restaurant happened to be where we stayed. We ordered appetizers, soup, salads and entrees. The rissorto balls were a bit too dry, but all other dishes were excellent. We had a great time here.

After a long day of hiking, we decided to stop here for dinner. Glad we did! I got the 16 oz ribeye, cooked to perfection! My wife got the salmon, and it was very flavorful. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm afternoon.

Pretty good food! We stayed at the Shasta Inn, and Harvest is located inside the lobby space, this made dinner super easy. I had the short ribs, which was perfectly cooked, 5 stars. My husband got the fried chicken with mac’n cheese. The mac’n cheese was really good, but I wasn’t crazy about the seasoning on the fried chicken and we both thought it was a little overcooked. Nice menu has something for everyone.

The Harvest Restaurant at Shasta Inn exceeded our expectations and provided a much-needed respite after a long day of hiking. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, which was full of flavor and expertly prepared. We started with the spicy mussels and the ahi tuna dip. The mussles were a tad over cooked but still a great starter. The tuna dip was paired with delicious wonton chips.
For our main courses, we decided to try the fried chicken and the short rib roast. Both dishes were expertly cooked and absolutely delicious. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, with a flavorful breading that added just the right amount of crunch. The mac and cheese as a side was amazing! Perfect comfort food dish. The short rib roast was tender and succulent with mash potatoes making it a perfect dish.
Our waiter, Trevor, was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome and at home. The cozy ambiance by the fireplace added to the overall experience.
Highly recommend Harvest to anyone visiting the area. It is on the pricier side. With delicious food, good service, and a cozy ambiance, it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of hiking or exploring the surrounding area.

Highly recommend the Pan seared Atlantic salmon dish(one of the daily special) saffron rice is aromatic and fish skin is crispy. Spices and components are very much dedicated. It can be a fine dining dish elsewhere! 6-layer chocolate cake is huge lol. Wait time is not short but totally worth it.
