This place did NOT disappoint. The owner was beyond friendly, the place was super clean, the other staff were super nice and when asked if it was our first time here we said yes, shared we were from the New Haven area and he was so appreciative of our business. We each ordered grinders that required a little bit of a wait (it tells you on the menu and he was sure to make sure we were okay with the wait). We sat at the tables off to the side waiting patiently and was brought a complimentary plate with a couple meatballs, slices of roast beef, ans the most flavorful, moist and delectable turkey I’ve ever had. Then the actual grinders came… Holy.Moley. HUGE. Very generous portions, friendly service, made exactly the way we asked. Worth the drive and we will certainly be back. My husband and I make it a point to try different restaurants as frequently as possible, but this one for sure will be on our mental frequently flyers map for sure. Can’t wait to come back and be wowed by the next order.

This place was absolutely amazing and you would never know it, considering the size of thier building! I drove an HOUR (69 miles!) just to try thier grinders and I’m so glad I did because the 3 grinders (Steak & Cheese, All American Cold Cut & Deluxe Combo Cold Cut) we got were absolutely delicious and unbelievably BIG! The owner was probably one of the nicest business owners I’ve talked with and at first, he didn’t believe me when I told him how far I drove just to try thier grinders but as I said, I’m glad I did, because they were on Grinder buns that were huge! They offer 3′, 4′, 5′ & 6′ (YES, “FEET”) party grinders and if we ever travel back that way, this place will DEFINETLY be our “GO TO” stop for our dinners!

I stopped at Hartford, giant grinder and grabbed half of what would otherwise literally be a giant grinder. I got the Italian combo. The sandwiches, fresh and heavy duty… Good stuff.

Giant super fresh grinders. My brother and I are large like 6 ft 2 in guys We usually get just one half tuna or a roast beef and split it between us and that does it. No atmosphere no tables no chairs just a pickup counter. We usually phone in order 10 minutes before and grinder is ready on arrival.
