Located in the lobby of the Grayson, Harta is a restaurant with a diverse menu including pasta and sandwiches. This can change significantly depending on the visit, particularly around restaurant week.
The ambience and staff are great. For lunch, it can be a bit slow and the few waiters must walk around an L-shaped layout so you may not always be noticed depending where you sit. Towards the bar and front, you get a nice view of the street through the glass wall.
The food itself is pretty standard. I was pleasantly surprised by the portions, which make it more worth your money. The shrimp scampi with rotini was very buttery, but needed some more salt. The blistered shishitos were very good, but inconsistently seasoned. They had a crispy chicken burger for restaurant week, as well as a beet salad, both of which were also good. The beets were marinated well and the chicken was not dry.
Overall, not a bad place to grab some lunch.

My food was good and cooked perfectly but the roasted cauliflower main was not what I expected. It read like a fancy veggie dish but it was literally a pile of cauliflower on a plate. The service was good and the eggplant dip with fresh bread was delicious.

Had an amazing daily breakfast at Harta during our stay at the Grayson Hotel. The service was warm and efficient every morning, and the food consistently delivered. The brioche French toast was perfectly done—soft, rich, and not overly sweet. The everything bagel with lox was fresh and flavorful, and the Harta Healthy Smoothie became a go-to for a refreshing start. Loved having the option to mix à la carte with the buffet. A standout spot whether you’re a guest at the hotel or just in the area.

Harta is located in the Grayson Hotel. The staff was very friendly, prompt, and attentive. The atmosphere felt bright with art deco vibes. Overall, the food was good. I felt like some items were prepared fresh upon ordering, and others were pre-cooked. For example, my over medium eggs were cooked perfectly but the bacon felt like it was pulled from the buffet. It wasn’t bad, it was like cooking part of your meal in your own kitchen and combining it with something you had delivered. The price of the menu also seemed very reasonable. But that may because I just returned from a trip to Iceland where the cost of food is extremely expensive!

We had breakfast at Harta every morning that kept us full until late afternoon!
My boyfriend had the buffet and I would either have the bagel & lox or the avocado toast. Their potatoes are crisp and tasty!
Staff is attentive and friendly.
Well worth the price for a great meal to start the day!

Such friendly staff and wonderfully delicious cocktails! The food was great but my favorite was the salmon and the crushed avocado dip. The hummus was great texture but just needed a little more salt. The soft serve options was delicious but chocolate flavor was my favorite! Ambiance is wonderful and centrally located. Highly recommend checking out !

Bar Harta recently hosted our Project Management Institute NYC Chapter speed networking event for 70 members, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. If you’re looking for a classy, upscale location, Grayson Hotel’s Bar Harta is it!! Located on the second floor, easily accessed from the street using the spiral stairs, you can experience the al-fresco wine terrace ambience steps away from subways and Bryant Park!

From initial venue scouting to contract execution, the entire process was seamless and professional and the payment process was straightforward and hassle-free.

Special thanks to Elizabeth, our Event Manager who was incredibly professional, courteous, and consistently available throughout our planning process – even when she wasn’t physically present at the venue, her support was steadfast.
Her entire team, from the GM to the bartenders, were genuinely friendly and went above and beyond standard service expectations. I especially appreciated their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our event’s success was remarkable.

I highly recommend Bar Harta for corporate events and networking functions. Their professionalism and exceptional service made our event a tremendous success, and we look forward to partnering for future events! Thank you Grayson Hotel!

I am a regular guest of The Grayson, and Bar Harta is one of the four event/bar/restaurant spaces inside this fantastic hotel.

Elizabeth made the process of choosing Bar Harta over the many other options in NYC.

The food, drink, and ambiance were outstanding for our event that hosted over 100 people at Bar Harta. The guests all told me what a great space it was.

But you can get great food, drink, and ambiance anywhere. The difference with Bar Harta is the team – the people.

Excuse my memory if I am missing some of the great people who worked with us, esp on such short notice!!

First the Bar Harta Crew who worked the event!
Gisella, Marcelino, and Laura kept the food and fun flowing and made our guests feel welcome and fed!

Behind the bar, Angel and Michelle were slinging drinks non-stop for almost 4 hours, with smiles and no complaints. We had three specialty cocktails and that didn’t slow them down!

Making all this work so smoothly was the team who supervised this event, from Elizabeth who worked with my and my co-host to craft a well-priced and appropriate package to the team of Andrew and Garrett who made sure that everything went smoothly!

When you have hundreds of people trying to get into an event, but limited capacity, you might need some muscle – with a smile – and that’s where our ‘Security Chief’ Orenzo contributed so that our check-in team didn’t have to worry about controlling the access while keeping things smooth and chill!

After the event was over, we retired to the Rooftop Bar ‘CIMA’ to rest our feet and finally relax ourselves enjoy a drink and some more food (that we needed after all the ‘eventing’ we had just done). We were greeted by Chris and Marina, really topping off our night at the top of The Grayson!

If I didn’t compliment the team working the ground floor Harta restaurant, where I spent half my time this week, I would be remiss! Barbie, Alex, and Zach were awesome, making sure that we were taken care of as we came in and out, over and over, eating breakfast, drinking coffee, eating lunch, meeting people, getting ready for the event. I apologize if we were too high maintenance! Thank you Harta People!

As you can see, I am really happy with how everything went but was not surprised – it’s why when I visit NYC I almost always stay at The Grayson….I need a really good reason to ever stay somewhere else! Thank you!

When we first ordered, our waiter was awesome. He had a great attitude explained the menu and assisted us with no problem once the main dish was served. After a while we realized, we never saw him again. No one checked on our table but they checked on the table next to us. Also, the rest of our order (drinks and dessert) took forever to come to the table. Once my friend received her drink, the guy forgot the shot of Expresso. Once he came back to pour it, he spilled it all over her cup and plate. Then mine and my other friend’s creme brulee was ice cold. When we brought it to their attention, he said it’s supposed to be cold with a warm top. I said I know but the whole thing is cold. Also, the consistency of the cream on mine was watery compared to my friend. So he retrieved the manager. They attempted to make it right by adding a 20 dollar discount after I declined them fixing the order. After waiting as long as we did, there was no way I was about to sit there and wait again to be disappointed. The main dish was pretty good but the service was terrible once our original waiter left. Please do better.

Halo Halo
Our experience here was a bit disappointing. To start, we were sat by the entrance to the hotel, so we were hit by the breeze each time the guests entered the hotel.

After being seated, it took about 15 minutes for our waiter, Octaviano to appear. We ordered our drinks, which took a while for them to come out. After a bit, our waiter finally came back so that we could order our appetizers and main course. I wish our waiter had read our order back to us, as I told him I would choose the steak frites instead of the lobster bisque/caesar salad.

The food took a while to come out and at that point I had considered cancelling the appetizers. For some reason, the appetizers came out at the same time as the main courses. I ended up receiving the lobster bisque, despite having told our waiter earlier I wasn’t going to select it. The steak frites I ordered were cold and fatty. The accompanying sauce was cold and flavorless. The fries were incredibly stale. For the price we paid, this food was not worth it what so ever.

Additionally, it was incredibly difficult to get ahold of our waiter or have an idea of how long our food would take. We dined on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was not very packed, which should have been our first sign to avoid this place.

Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant as there are other restaurants with better food/service for the same price point.
