Harry’s Continental Kitchens has grown from a modest 1970s take-out counter into Longboat Key’s all-in-one culinary destination, now encompassing a full-service restaurant, gourmet deli, beach-ready corner store, and award-winning catering team. Still family-run by founders Harry and Lynn Christensen with their son Hal, the venue pairs seasonally inspired coastal dishes with a sommelier-curated wine list lauded by Wine Spectator. Whether you’re savoring fresh Gulf seafood on the patio, stocking up on specialty provisions, or planning a milestone event, Harry’s delivers elevated flavors and genuine island hospitality that keep locals and visitors coming back for more.
Quaint eatery serving traditional American fare in a romantic space with a patio.

I do have to say that the food was good but you can’t really make two eggs over easy terrible. I was really disappointed that they didn’t have an alternative milk no almond no oat milk, and they only gave one piece of toast with my eggs. At the price of $14 for two eggs I think two pieces of toast would have been appreciated.

What a pleasant surprise Harry’s Continental Kitchen turned out to be! The staff was wonderful, and Susan, our waitress, was a delight. We had some of the specials and really enjoyed it. Grilled Peach salad with burrata tomatoes and arugula was so good. Red snapper with delicious risotto could not have been better. We will be visiting again soon.

We booked the 5-course cocktail menu. It was excellent. The food was lovingly prepared and served. A new cocktail accompanied each course. Fantastic! We highly recommend it. What was new for us was that most of the guests left the restaurant immediately after the menu. We’re European, and for us, the evening isn’t over after dinner. We enjoy chatting together and having a drink. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening with excellent food and cocktails.
Another day we had breakfast there. That was also excellent. Fresh fruit and many egg variations. Great.

We ate at Harry’s for breakfast before we left Longboat Key for the airport. From the outside, this restaurant doesn’t look like much, but it definitely is good eating. We sat on the patio and even though it was on the roadside, it was secluded by lots of plants and had a pergola to shade the tables. Our server was Kianna and she was sweet and provided good service. Right away she bought a basket of mini biscuits and banana bread. Nice touch.
My husband had Harry’s nogi for breakfast – scrambled eggs, bacon crumbles, cheddar cheese, pico de gallo, avocado, chipotle sauce and corn tortillas. He loved it. I had the old-fashioned German pancake with lingonberries. I also ordered a side of bacon. The German pancake was light and very good. The bacon was crisp like I like it.
Before I left I went inside to use the restroom and was so surprised seeing the dining area. It totally is different than the outside and is so inviting. Decorated in white and blue it’s so inviting, and there are plenty of booths and tables inside. Next time I’m in Longboat Key, I will definitely come back for dinner. We looked at the menu and it looked good.
Looks are deceiving so don’t pass by this place because of the nondescript exterior.

I’m a Sarasota local and this is our go-to spot for every special occasion. As one of the original LBK restaurants, it’s incredibly chic, the food is always outstanding, and the service never disappoints. We’ve celebrated so many milestones here: birthdays, family gatherings before our wedding, anniversaries, and more. It’s truly my favorite restaurant in the world.
I love heading over to the nearby beach and then stopping in for an amazing dinner. The Gorgonzola filet is my absolute favorite. When we come for breakfast, I always order their special pancakes-they’re incredible.
We also enjoy grabbing sandwiches to take to the beach for lunch from their deli. On days when I want to surprise my husband with something special, I’ll pick up their pre-prepared meals to cook at home (and never leave without a rum cake!). This place holds so many wonderful memories for us, I love it.

We had a delightful meal in Valentines Day 2026. The food was outstanding; the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was friendly and warm. I would highly recommend Harry’s to everyone and anyone.
We will continue to support this establishment 100 percent. It is the very best on Longboat Key, Florida!!! It’s a MUST go.

My husband and I have been to Harry’s a number of times and brought 2 out of town guests there for breakfast / brunch last Saturday. We had the most wonderful time. Fantastic food and exceptional service by Santiago, our waiter as well as the gentleman who welcomed us into the restaurant. Our friends could not stop commenting on how great the experience was for the following 2 days. The staff is so welcoming. The breakfast menu is expansive and our meals were delicious. Cant wait to go back.

Prior to this evening, we had dined at Harry’s for brunch only. After our dinner, we will never come back. The soup of the day lacked flavor, entrees lacked flavor. I ordered a wedge salad with salmon and the salmon was dry and the lettuce half wilted with barely any bacon and dressing. I noticed in a previous comment the restaurant mocked a customer for commenting on the price of their salads but how can you charge $40 for a salad that is unappetizing and dry? How can your kitchen botch a simple salad with salmon? No issues paying for good food but the pricing here is not appropriate for the quality. Our cocktails were consistently empty throughout the entire dinner at Harry’s. We thought we would order a slice of their peanut butter pie to go and were told they were sold out. After paying $300 for a pathetic dinner, we decided, there are much better options in the area and would rather spend our money elsewhere.
