The atmosphere was good. We sat outside. I wish I could remember the name of all the dishes. We had a dish that was like a breaded deviled egg top with jalapeños. I have the steak and cheese sandwich. My friend had the buffalo chicken fries. The lemonade was pretty decent.

10.2.22 We stopped in for brunch and parking was tough. The restaurant looks like a home so easy to miss. The service and food was superb and I loved how it was plated. Very coop venue and best of all, historic.

Atmosphere was cool and the staff was friendly, but the food needs a little fine tuning. The menu concept is great, but everything we had ended up lacking. We ordered the sliders, and they were very dry….not enough toppings. We also had the Mc Andrew and it ended up being kinda bland. With a few adjustments our meals would have been awesome, so I’m not afraid to give it another try.

This place is amazing! A tad on the pricey side, but super friendly service and incredible food. It’s casual fare, but creative and different–they always have unique and tasty specials, and excellent cocktails. I also appreciate that they have outdoor seating, bar seating, and more formal restaurant area seating. The building used to be a jail in the 1800s, so they renovated it. Great vibe! Hidden gem of Middletown.

Stopped here for lunch between our grandson’s basketball games. We LOVED it!! Had the Sanguich- which was better than any sandwich I have ever made! Just delicious- and actually got better with every bite!! This will be one of those- gotta have – things on our list of favorites!!

Just finished having lunch with friends. This was my first experience at the establishment. The food was wonderful, tasty, and perfectly prepared. The portions were extremely generous. The server/ bartender was gracious, attentive, and most importantly, not pushy or intrusive. It was a delightful experience. I highly recommend Harrie’s Jailhouse and look forward to my next dining experience there.
