We were prepared to spend $$ to get burgers and beer. They didn’t want to turn on the grill. Not sure when the grill is ever on? I guess it’s cheap beers most days. I’m not sure how they sell enough to keep a liquor license. We walked out. No advertised hours of the grill. Maybe that’s why they call it a tavern.. just alcohol.

I cannot comment on the food or the service because I didn’t stick around long enough to try either. I will be honest, I felt like I was in an episode of Twilight Zone for a few minutes. The place definitely needs a lot of upgrades and repairs!

The service we received while there was horrible… we waited over 45 minutes for our food. Once our food was given to us it was cold, and burnt. Couldn’t even finish a chicken cheesesteak. We weren’t asked how anything was or if we needed anything. Once our bill was brought to us, it was a supposed complete total of $100. We added everything up that was on the bill and it was a total of $50.

The prime rib is great! Portion size is good. You are definitely full when you leave! Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is laid back. Two people in our party had the shrimp basket and it looked good, one had a sub and stated it was great.

A hole in the wall place off the beaten path! Their steaks and prime rib are delicious. Beer selection was limited, service was on the slower side but bartender was friendly. This place is so freaking dirty! I mean beyond being a dive bar, it’s just bad… so if you don’t mind woodsmoke and dirt and maybe not being able to drink your preferred beer choice but enjoying a fairly good meal, this is the place.

Harper’s is awesome! I love the Suzie salad! And…..service with a smile! Really cool t-shirts with the iron bridge on them. This place is a gem surrounded by gorgeous nature. Definitely go!

I have never had a better prime rib – anywhere – than the grilled and seasoned prime rib they have on weekends. But, the Delmonico is also excellent. Great value, friendly atmosphere and service.

Used to go all the time for the steak and prime rib but the last 2 times I ended up throwing the food out. Not sure what changed but it’s sad. That and they don’t carry any higher end dark beers so there is no reason for me to make the hour drive anymore.

The best place in PA for Prime Rib bare none. Make sure you reserve a plate or two before Friday or you will be out of luck. Would give it more Stars if it wasn’t for the shabby look of the exterior. Not very inviting with the broken down cars in the lot and out back.

I absolutely love the food at this place 100% of the time everytime I eat there I try not to go in when it’s too crowded so I feel a little out of place and it seems to be a lot of locals even though I’m a local I don’t get out to eat too often cause my disability and my money situation. But I do have money and I feel up for the drive I often go there for their prime rib and their wings which are excellent prices are fantastic and service is great.
