The fries were delicious and the chicken sandwich was good.
The house salad was decent. Felt like it was missing something. Type bland.
Service was good. Server was attentive
Drinks were good too. Great spot for small bites, drinks and to hang out in the patio.
Parking can be somewhat of a challenge but feasible.
Sorry for being dramatic but hey, shame on you!
I went in tonight looking for a mean classic Old Fashioned. What a woman has to do to find good drink these days!
But to my relief, this place had Toni working behind the bar who served me the perfect, no exaggeration here, Old Fashioned. As much as I loved the notes of the drink, I fell in love with the cherry. Upon asking I was told Sarah, the genius behind not just the cherry but also their cocktail menu, was around. She was kind enough to tell me her recipe for those delectable cherries. Now if you want to know more about those, you have to visit Harper’s! I am only giving this review for free, not Sarah’s perfectly crafted cherry recipe!
I ordered Harper’s Burger for dinner. The burger was splendid to stay the least. The fries were well done as well, they were so good that I had to stuff my insides because I didn’t want them to go to waste. Forgive me Father, for I have gluttony-ed!
I also happened to meet the owners tonight. Ajna is a sweetheart. Muki (I hope I am not butchering the name) is incredible. Edi could use some work but he redeemed himself by offering to split with me an Old Fashioned on the house. I’ve never heard of anyone splitting a drink with me before, and I do not wish to split a drink with an owner of any establishment ever again. But I can’t deny that all three of them were very gracious, as were Toni and Sarah.
They have incredible wine tastings on Thursdays. A must visit spot if you want a good drink or just need to decompress. The ambience will definitely help you unwind.
This place is no fluke. Go experience it for yourself!
I must add the service was so friendly and attentive that, including the company and conversation, made the intimate dinner a pleasure despite the food not being the highlight.
We didn’t really get the opportunity to talk to anyone because they were obviously understaffed. The whole dining room seemed to have trouble flagging someone down. Food was getting sent back. In retrospect it makes sense when someone other than our waitress dropped off our food and apologized in spite of that particular course being delivered in a timely manner. They probably knew what was going on and likely wasn’t on board, or knew what they were delivering was sub par.
No one in that dining room was happy. I was saddened at the realization that everyone else seemed to get it at the same time, we been brunch bait-n-switched (Brunch-N-Switch trademark pending). Buyer beware at this establishment, but YYMV. Their dinner service might be fire, we’ll never know.
To review; understaffed, price gouged, inedible food, friendly but sad staff.
Nice place to sit overall, but I wouldn’t want to eat there.
The new owner must have a contempt for their brunch crowd which I get. Super basic people getting day drunk (which moms should get a day to be turnt if they choose)… But if that’s the case, don’t be open for that crowd, because I’m going to tell everyone I know to never step foot in this establishment ever having the experience we had.
You don’t understand, I’m going to start conversations with strangers from now on that begin with “Don’t eat at Harper’s on Main, lemme tell you why”…
