What a welcomed surprise. We had no idea what to expect. This place has a great atmosphere as a redone 1891 cellar of the building above. The food was perfect. I had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and collard greens. Fantastic! My wife had the patty melt. Again, awesome! The service was first class by Shelly. We’re going back for brunch on Sunday. Great local beer selection as well.

Always a great meal at Harper. The fried chicken is excellent! The burgers are also really great. Pork chop is stellar. Fair prices on beer and drinks. Nice atmosphere. I always recommend it when people come to Tryon.

We visited for Sunday brunch and the Eggs Benedict were beautifully prepared.

I recommend making a reservation and coming early as brunch on Sunday is busy.
The prices are reasonable for this location, the quality is good and the restaurant is very clean.

Is fantastic little spot in Tryon North Carolina! Excellent service and food the meat loaf is made with Maple bacon and it is absolutely divine the white cheddar Mac and cheese ooey gooey and melts in your mouth.
Cheeseburger I was hoping would be fresh ground beef but it wasn’t so it was a little dry but it was very good and well you really can’t go wrong with French fries.

What a neat little restaurant! I took the family after church and had brunch. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff made you feel right at home. I had the Western omelet with biscuits and gravy and my wife had the shrimp and grits. The food was simple fantastic. We felt like we were sitting in downtown Charleston. Harper’s is a must if your close to Tryon and want a taste of Charleston.

Great food and drinks. The chef was trained at the prestigious Johnson & Wells with 20 years in the business. The food is always consistent and you can tell it’s prepared by a trained chef. The maple bacon wrapped meatloaf is out of this world and so are the collard greens. SUPER CLEAN and very nice waitstaff.

This is what you get when you get southern hospitality with great food and a fantastic location. There’s really nothing wrong with Harper Eatery. Having dinner with my family on vacation was a pleasure. The staff was terrific and the food was great. It’s family friendly as well, not to mention the live music on Saturday was a perfect touch to make our visit a memorable one.
We always come to the area at least once a year and I’m sure we’ll go back to Harper considering the great visit we had this time.

Great little spot! The corn fritters and salmon were good and they have a decent wine and beer selection. Nice little patio right off the main strip.
