What attracted me was that the food network came out and gave this place a taste .. Even though it was like 16 years ago that they did, I’m sure they have been consistent. They have a yummy Arnold palmer, great chili burgers and freshly sliced and hot potato wedges.. will be a returning customer!

Wow! That’s all we can say! We hit this restaurant on Pinto Bean Wednesday! The service of the staff was warm and friendly. Our pinto beans arrived hot and savory! Please visit this old school, down home cooking place where you can enjoy real home cooking in a friendly atmosphere! We echo what Guy Fieri on DDD stated there is nothing fake or canned in this place! Made from scratch! Hats off to Tony Lipscomb and his friendly, hardworking staff!

My food and service was awesome. The price stabbed my heart. Over $3 each for a small chilli burger? Cost $30 for 3 people to eat 2 chilli burgers each. Damn Tony! Calm the price down.

There were some pluses, like great service and some decent menu items (fries and chicken tenders). However I have some criticisms about this place as well. The large chicken club was said to come with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles, but it came without cheese or pickles. The coleslaw was entirely too vinegary, hard to eat more than a few bites. And their famous chili was bland and not worth the hype in my opinion. It tasted like manwich but with no flavor and chunks of dry meat. Overall it wasn’t terrible, but was lacking in several areas.

This place is great and affordable. We ate the chicken strips and hot dogs….and it so yummy…..10/10. I recommend this place even for out-of-towners. Definitely feels like home!!!

It was not quite what I expected. I had seen the signs for years advertising it as being on Guy Fieri’s DDD, and I guess I expected more because of that. That was ultimately the reason we chose to check it out. The inside is very drab and seems kind of dated. However, service was fine and the food was all right, but nothing special. Price was fair, but they were only accepting cash at the time we went.

Visited Harold’s for the first time today. We didn’t expect it to be great, however what we got barely reached the level of sub-par. First to note, the prices you see online are far outdated. We figured they would be with the economy being what it is, but I did want to make sure anyone seeing my review knew this as well. I got the iconic “chilli burger” which is more of a tiny, dry and unseasoned meatball on a bun with bland sloppy joe mix on it. The coleslaw I got for my side was ok, but a little more vinegary than I prefer. My husband got the chicken fingers and fries with a hot dog on the side. They weren’t bad, comparable to the clock of Lyman. The fries were probably the best part of the meal by far. My daughter got the club sandwich which also was not bad, however it was missing the cheese and pickles that were supposed to come with it. Oh yeah, my husband’s meal was also supposed to come with slaw which was missing and his hot dog ordered “all the way” only had chilli, no onions or mustard, which was very disappointing. So overall, we decided pretty quickly it was not a place we’d like to return to.

Harold’s is famous. We’ve been going there for fifteen years. Always the same thing…hotdogs and chicken wings. Can’t beat it.
