We waited 50 minutes for our meal, only to be deeply disappointed. The egg rolls were underwhelming—filled only with chicken and onions, lacking any other vegetables, and served with a soggy exterior. Both the fried rice and brisket missed the mark; the rice was overly wet and lacked that signature fried flavor, while the brisket was completely bland. Overall, a major letdown.

Go to Gavi’s if you’re craving rice balls. We ordered one steak rice ball at 5:00pm, and it wasn’t ready until 5:58pm. We waited almost an hour for a single rice ball. The rice ball was cold and soggy when we received it, and was 99% rice with a few shavings of beef and cucumber. Upon looking at the receipt, it looks like you’re paying $13 for a “rice ball” (just the rice, nothing else. $13 for a little bit of rice is insane), and they add $3 for a smidge of meat and $2 for sauce. Shouldn’t the meat and sauce be included in the price of the rice ball? Either way, it was really disappointing.

It is in such a cute spot that is decorated to feel welcoming and unique. Perfect to pull up, and enjoy the night while waiting. The staff is great and communicates amazingly. The food is really good and tastes awesome. Perfect spot all around, great food and great people working!
