Not the same as any of the chicago locations!! We have tried to call in our order several time over the last few days at different times. They literally never answer. We have driven to the location at different times and there’s no one there when they should be open according to their hours listed. Never open on time and never open an hour before closing. At least not the 4 different days we tried. Tried to use grub hub and door dash. The apps took our money, but order had to be canceled because no one was at the location. Stopped in today because there were people inside. Menu says waffle meals, and jumbo shrimp, but the girl who took our order just said “no we dont have those.” They don’t have sweet n sour or shrimp sauce, only hot or mild. Also, there’s a sign that says cash only. If you don’t have cash you can zelle or cash app. They also have a atm that charges a crazy fee. Our goto Harolds is in Chicago on Wabash. Probably should have just driven to Chicago and back. This place was absolutely not worth the money. How does this business stay open??

I tried calling in my order so that I wouldn’t have to wait. But the number listed did not work. I ordered the 2 pc catfish filet at 12:20. Was quoted 15 minutes. (Only 1 other customer). Received order at 12:58.
Catfish taste good, a little salty. Hot.

After waiting over 40 mins for 2 -6 pc wings I was highly disappointed with my food & the staff. Not only was the cashier unprofessional but the quality of food I received for $32.59 was outrageous. The wings were the smallest I’ve ever seen at any Harold’s location & after asking for sauce on my wings there was barely any sauce on them & my fries were soggy & under cooked. They also had a big sign on the register that said only cash, zelle, or cashapp was accepted for payment. I will never go back to that location & I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The code on the receipt doesn’t even work to send feedback.

I ordered a Large Chicken Tender dinner and it was great. I gave explicit instructions on how I wanted my tenders cooked and condiments on the side. This is an awesome establishment and I wish them great blessings. I’ve been a patron of the Plainfield location since they opened. Please patronize with this location and be patient: They do receive a lot of orders.

TRASH experience! Steph, the woman with the foul attitude at the counter? Let me help you better do your job: when a person has been waiting for their food for almost 30 minutes, is one of the only ones in the restaurant and you look them in the eye and call out an order, I’m trusting you know what you’re doing and it’s the correct order. Upon checking my food shortly after receiving it, I realized it was not my order. I respectfully went up the counter saying it was not my order and was yelled at and reprimanded for picking up the wrong order that YOU gave me!! Are you serious? I had to ask multiple times for my food that was sitting directly behind her and instead of simply giving me my food she kept yelling at me. ABSURD! Get anger management and clean up your nasty, poorly kept restaurant before coming for customers! NEVER again will I come here and no one should!!!

I’ve been here a few times. Last time will be the last time. They often mess up my order. I like my mild sauce on the side, ask for it on the side, and 2 times they’ve left it out the bag completely, and the last time they put it on the food. Food had not been cooked all the way. At the prices they charge, you would think the food would be perfect.
Last time I came, I brought my daughter in with me. Thank God she had on headphones while watching her tablet because the cursing and conversations they were having for the customers to hear was very unprofessional. They even had their own kids back there running around and playing. Highly disappointed. After moving to this area, I really wanted to find an Harold’s that was close to home but this isn’t it.

The cashier has a very bad attitude.
The food is trash.
They brought the hood with them.
Zero stars! I will continue driving to the city.
Harolds on 35th in Chicago is worth the drive.
I live 10 minutes from the Plainfield location.

This was my first time trying this location and it was not good at all. The wings were soft and not fried well. The chicken had no flavor whatsoever. I had to put mild sauce on it to even eat it. I only ate two pieces, and the rest went in the trash. The prices are way too expensive for chicken that is not good and does not taste like Harold’s. Also, be warned, this location forces everyone to pay in cash as they do not accept any credit or debit cards.

I think part of the problem is that you don’t understand that you need customers to run a successful business. As a new business in the area, you should value the feedback you receive so you can improve your product and services. I have eaten at Harold’s chicken before, and you missed the mark. As far as fixing my food, my time is valuable, so what makes you think I want to drive back to your location to have you fix something that should have been done right in the first place? You can absolutely take whatever form of payment that you choose, however, this is 2024 and almost every business takes credit and debit cards as well as other forms of electronic payment. Good luck keeping customers with that attitude. I hope you have a blessed day as well.
