Best spot in Monee for fried chicken! In my family’s opinion. So fresh! Always right! My family’s favorite weekly take-out spot. Decent prices for great portions! Usually always get the wings, breast, tenders and fries. With hot sauce on the side. Amazing! Staff is so nice when cashing out!

Decent location OUTSIDE of the city. Their chicken is fried good and the sauce is good over all. TODAY however, I really had a taste for some fries with the works (lemon pepper, and mild sauce).
I appreciate the fries being made to order, but when I got them home, I was a bit disappointed. The fries didn’t have that crisp of a crunch like I had hoped. Nor was the lemon pepper or sauce anywhere near what I was expecting. Now I can admit that I should’ve checked it before leaving. However, knowing that I almost paid $8, customer service should have clicked in for the server. I wasn’t asked is that enough lemon pepper, and or mild sauce on the fries. I just feel cheated as I’m getting home to look at it

I’ve been coming to this location for a little over a year now, While customer service in many suburban areas has declined over the past few years, that is not the case here. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with pleasant smiles and genuinely helpful service from every receptionist.
The kitchen staff deserves special recognition as well they respect special requests without compromising quality and always deliver generous, satisfying portions. The overall atmosphere is warm and family oriented, which makes each visit enjoyable and welcoming.

I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. I got chicken strips and fries and it was good! I wasn’t expecting to have to wait so it put me 20 minutes behind but it wasn’t a huge deal for the good food. The person who took my order was nice but could’ve been a little more friendly; not bad, just going through the motions I suppose. Also I think the “mild sauce” I received was just ketchup which was a tad disappointing. I’d definitely go back for the good eats and there is more that I want to try!

In Chicago for work and stopped by here because the sell livers. Easily stands up with the best livers back home in NC. The hot sauce is really good too. Staff were friendly and service was quick, prices were awesome. Zero complaints, I’ll be back tomorrow to get some gizzards.

So disappointed with this place right now. My husband absolutely loves Harold’s Chicken but he’s picky about which ones he goes to he’s been going to this one in Monee for a while now. Tonight because nobody was answering the phone it was constantly busy for over an hour we decided to order online through the toast site. I ordered him a six wing dinner with fries and coleslaw for $14.20 before tax it came out to over $15 when I paid for it. He goes up there to pick it up it’s so crowded you can’t walk in the door. He waits forever to get his food and when he gets it there are no fries in the wings. The person that works there says you have to order the fries separate. I have never ordered fried separate from the wings from Harold’s I double check the website just to make sure. My husband said never again will he go to this location. Horrible service they took the phones off the hook, forcing you to order it through their app just to get the wrong food and be told that what we did was wrong I’ll be posting a screenshot as well.

Now if have you been following me for a while you’d see that Harold’s has problems all over the city of Chicago. Today I’m checking out the one in monee since I’m in the area. Hopefully they’ll be better than the rest.
Customer Service:
Placed an online order they called within minutes and let me know that they didn’t have any liver. We opted for double gizzards. I got there 20 minutes later and the food was ready. No hassle & the staff was friendly. 5/5
Gizzard Dinner:
Appearance –
To be honest they don’t look appetizing. They look to be lightly fried & the breading is pale because of it. There’s plenty there though so for $7.50 this could easily feed 2-3 people. Comes with bread on the bottom & a healthy amount of thick, straight cut fries. 3/5
Taste –
Thank God for lemon pepper. The gizzards are a bit rubbery & tougher than normal, but the flavor definitely saves this. Maybe find some way to tenderize the gizzards better or let it fry a bit longer. I feel like I could eat these all day if they were prepared better. 3/5
Wings & Catfish Dinner:
Appearance –
Just like the gizzards the chicken was lightly fried leaving somewhat pale breading. The catfish was a perfect golden brown albeit fried a little too hard as the fish has been turned into a fish stick. 3/5
Taste –
Great fish, superb chicken. The lemon pepper seasoning really stands out & take this over the top. You can’t go wrong with anything here, but the chicken is a clear winner. 5/5
Overall this is the best Harold’s I’ve been to. Nice spacious restaurant for sitting down in, great food & the customer service is there (something which almost every Harold’s is tremendously lacking in.) Too bad it’s all the way out in the middle of nowhere otherwise I could see myself stopping by occasionally.
