I visited Harold’s Chicken & Ice Bar last night. The atmosphere was great and the music was amazing — I really enjoyed the overall vibe of the place.
Unfortunately, my experience at the bar ruined it for me. The female bartender wearing a brown hat was very rude. I stood at the bar for at least 6–7 minutes while she repeatedly looked right past me, even though I was directly in front. It felt intentional. I even had to ask a gentleman to get her attention. When she finally came over, her attitude was nasty and unprofessional.
This was my first time visiting, and that interaction alone made me not want to return. I ordered two Red Bulls and a bottle of water and was shocked to be charged $10 for the water. That price just didn’t make sense.
It’s disappointing because the music and atmosphere were on point, but customer service is everything. Due to the service I received, I won’t be coming back.

This was one of the best Harolds I’ve been to. Im from Chicago and I must say if you are in Atlanta you must! Check them out! There is a full bar with the Hookah experience. The food is awesome and when you go say hi Nay Nay, she is an amazing and goes above and beyond to ensure that your food is prepared right, and that you have a good experience! When I get home, I have to let my local Harolds know, that they gone have to step they game up! Bon appetite!

Came in after work late night Monday and service at the bar was prompt and efficient. Marilla was quick but courteous. I’m a restaurant manager at a 5 star establishment so I’m hard on rating service. 10 stars across the board, fresh food, good hookah, and drinks flowed perfectly. Definitely will be my southside stop every Monday from now on

It’s been so long since I’ve been but I’ll be back more often. The Chicken is delicious, it was seasoned well and cooked extra crispy. The whiting fish was great as well! My hubby got a burger, it was great as well, he added egg and bacon. He also added Harold’s sauce to his fries and it was great!! I’m not a sauce person but the Harold’s sauce pairs well with the fries, fish & chicken. I ordered the liver & gizzards to-go. My gizzards weren’t cooked originally. I sent them back and they came back better. They only gave me a few. I got more livers but they were good to. My mom ordered green tomatoes. They came out super late but she loved them. The prices are reasonable. They had a Happy hour menu and hookah. Customer service was good. They do add an 18% gratuity. I definitely recommend. Very chill spot.

I stopped by around 6:00 PM to have dinner and sat at the bar. There were only about five people there, so it wasn’t busy at all. Unfortunately, I received no acknowledgment or service from the bartender, Ashley, who I believe was assigned to my area. She spent her time checking her phone, dancing to songs, and chatting with others, but never greeted me or asked if I wanted to order a drink or food.
This kind of service is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment. I ended up leaving without ordering and don’t plan to return. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values good customer service not even a Dog….amd the Bar area has a lm unsanitary smell to it like a bathroom odor smell …. Go check for yourself I visited today 11/10/25

Vibe was nice, but they should have been ashamed for the chicken they gave me! Got the fish n chicken dark meat and was giver a drummett as the leg and I can’t even call what I was given a thigh! Sad thing is the “chicken” was buried under the fries and fish.

I come here often because it’s close to my house and I like some of the staff, but today was unacceptable. My hookah was brought out with no tip, and when I looked in the base, there was mold inside. The hookah guy denied it until I showed him with my phone light.
After it was replaced, I waited over an hour for a coal change that never came—even after asking multiple times and after shift change. The manager offered a refill and drink but forgot about me as well.
This is a Black-owned business, and I expect better. Cleanliness, attention, and follow-through matter. Disappointed.

I’ve only ordered Togo from here I’ve never been inside but my orders are never consistent and the prices are pretty steep. I would say the food is pretty decent but I just never know what’s going to be in my order. The shrimp and grits were not good but the wings and fish were. I’ve ordered from here about three times before because it does stay open pretty late which is good considering it’s hard to find late night spots these days.

This place is ridiculous to charge a service charge fee and tip for a 2 go order… let’s talk about service. The cashier was more into her phone rather than answer question about the menu. The portion was a rip-off, Fish & wings combo, 1 piece of fish, 3 wings and small fries for $22. I didn’t receive no coleslaw, smh!!! I will never be back at this place ever again.
