I was looking for a quick snack after my workout, I was craving for fried pickles, and got just that, juicy, crispy, and hot. I didn’t sit in to eat because it was new yrs eve, but the server was really nice, I will be back to try other items on the menu, my only dislike is since I was getting it to go, it wasnt in a closed/ sealed container. Other than, nice experience for ordering out.

Visited Harold’s on a Friday night around 7pm and it was surprisingly quiet. They did have some drink specials, which was nice. The bartender was friendly and attentive.
I ordered a hookah, which ended up being a mistake. The bowl was visibly dirty with buildup, and the first hookah came out burnt. It had to be remade twice before it was finally decent. Looking around, I should’ve taken the hint no one else had hookah while I was there or when I arrived.
The bathrooms were also out of toilet paper, which was disappointing. Compared to other Harold’s locations, this one felt very different extremely dark, outdated, and not well maintained.

My family LOVES Harold’s. We live in Florida but whenever you’re in town we like to visit the Duluth location and we always have a great time. Friendly service , we love the happy hour cocktails and the chicken of course !

Not the same Harold’s I had grown to really like over the years. After placing a take out order and arriving 10 minutes later, I was told they never received the order. After the host checked her system, the order suddenly appeared. She said it would take about 10 minutes and would be right up. I waited 15 minutes, still not ready. Then I waited another 5 minutes and it was still not up. Finally, after about 35 minutes, we finally received our order. While it was hot, it was fried extremely hard. The fries were disgusting and the friend chicken breast tasted like it had expired. In fear of getting sick, I threw my entire order in the trash. My wife enjoyed her perch, shrimp, and okra, and the Arnold Palmer was really good, which is the only reason I gave the 2 stars. I have officially retired this place from my go-to list after multiple disappointing experiences.

Went for karaoke night and decided to grab some fried chicken and fries. The karaoke vibes were good overall, though the sound system could use some EQ adjustments, it was a bit harsh on the ears.
When I went to order at the bar, I wasn’t greeted and had to get the bartender’s attention myself. After placing my order, I noticed a 20% gratuity was automatically added to my check. The menu clearly states that gratuity is added for parties of six or more, but I was dining alone.
The bartender also never offered me water (which should be standard when someone’s eating at the bar), and didn’t check in at all after dropping off my food..no “how’s everything,” nothing. Instead, he was busy texting and chatting with a friend at the bar.
I love supporting Black-owned establishments, but I’m disappointed to see this trend of automatically adding gratuity regardless of party size, especially when the service doesn’t reflect it. It’s misleading to list “20% added for parties of 6+” and still charge solo customers. I hope management reviews this policy because the food was decent, but the service and experience definitely missed the mark.

The Good – The Food was pretty decent, although slightly salty. It was served fresh, piping hot, and crispy (fried chicken, whiting, & shrimp).
The Bad – It took 20 minutes to be greeted by our server, and it took an hour to receive our food. I was made aware that it doesn’t normally take that long but I think our server may have forgotten to put our order in. Also, I was served the incorrect drink. I asked for Rum and Coke and received Gin.
The Ugly – In no way, shape, or form should patrons be charged 20% gratuity when it’s just TWO people at a table. STOP THIS PRACTICE!!! I tip well on my own but I don’t like being forced to do so. Love the food, friendly staff but the ambience is awful. It’s dark, drab and uninviting, and it’s been like this for years, so I don’t dine in, I get my food to go. In addition, it’s smells like smoke/weed. I support black owned businesses, have some pride and fix the place up. I’m an interior designer, holla at your girl.

We came in from St. Louis and had my friend’s birthday brunch there. The food was so good. Them wings was seasoned to protection. Fish was bomb also. The service was top notch ( thanks Relly ).
