My review about Harold & Belles is that it is a very nice family style restaurant. The service was great, starting on the phone. The lady who answered the phone was super nice and remembered. I called to ask if reservations were needed. The food was delicious, but I’m sorry I was not a fan of the crab cakes! I would definitely come back again! Fried chicken was the star of the menu. Try that!

This was my first time going to Harold &Belle’s. I had the red snapper which was seasoned well and crunchy. The catfish nuggets were good as well. I would definitely go back to try another dish.

I went to Harold & Belle’s for my birthday expecting a quality meal, but I was highly disappointed. The food was disgusting! Nothing was fresh, everything was overly seasoned and salty. The catfish was not fresh and undercooked, and the poboy sandwich was also disgusting and not fresh. The Hurricane drink was not a Hurricane like you would get in New Orleans, it was diabetes in a glass. Overly sweet and again disgusting! The only decent thing on the menu was the Char-Broil oysters and shrimp salad. I barely ate any of the food and ended up giving a huge doggy bag to homeless people. I spent $200 on trash food!

Decided to visit after being featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. This was an awesome and filling meal. I loved everything I ordered and it was worth it. Shout-out to Alex, very pleasant waitress. She made me feel very welcomed and well token care of.

3 of us walked in without a reservation on Sunday, June 25th, 2023 and it was EXTREMELY busy. The manager was wonderful and after about 15 minutes, we were seated in the bar area at a high top table in the corner. The server was great, my Bulleit Old Fashioned was delightful and the food was SCRUMPTIOUS! My friends had been telling me about this place for years and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend the liver and onions (I know, I know) and the peach cobbler. One note: be prepared to valet park. The restaurant is in an old strip mall and we didn’t even attempt to look for a parking space in the surrounding area.

It’s been over 20 years since I’ve been here because I don’t eat seafood and I don’t eat pork and didn’t remember much options. Last night we went and truly enjoyed ourselves. There were more options for me to eat and I’m mad I didn’t take more photos. The service was great. Everyone was helpful and friendly and kept checking on us. We ordered wings, salad, red beans and rice, Mac n cheese, catfish, gumbo, maitais and beignets. While I wish the wings had a little more flavor and the beignets were a little less doughy, we truly enjoyed our meal and being able to support this great little restaurant that’s been around for so very long. We will definitely be back.
