Harissa is a tasty little find in Ravenna! Excellent Mediterranean staples with some unique and equally tasty chef’s specials. Our host/chef was very welcoming and genuinely fond of all his customers, so yes, wonderful service was received. We’re definitely going back!

Wow, wow, wow!!! Stopped in on a Sunday evening around 5. Was pretty empty. Very large space, very well decorated. It still felt intimate. We had a nice booth seat by the bar area. To start we ordered Baba ghanoush and virgin mojitos. The baba ghanoush came out with fresh made bread. It was delicious, so flavorful. Our virgin mojitos had great flavor. My husband ordered the lamb platter, which was a special. His meal came with a starter salad, which he chose ceasar. The salad was pretty nice sized. We actually split it. It was so good. For my entree I ordered the kofta kebab, which came with rice and grilled veggies. My husband’s platter came with lamb chop, a piece of lamb loin, kofta, potatoes, corn, asparagus and rice. We DEVOURED our food from start to finish. It was excellent, perfectly cooked and so flavorful. To top off the amazing food we ordered their baklava to go, we couldn’t wait to eat it, so we ate it on the drive home! Harissa’s has exceptional food and wonderful service to match it. Service was very good, super attentive and polite. Absolutely cannot wait to go back! Might even go back again this upcoming weekend!

I’m long overdue to provide a glowing review for Harissa. I want to first highlight the owner Whalid (I hope I’m spelling correctly) who spoiled my family and I multiple times. He is so generous and hospitable that I feel like I am a guest in his home. The food portions are generous and extremely cooked well. I highlighted the chicken skewer which is the BEST I’ve had. It is hard to cook chicken to a moistness on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. The salmon and seafood skewers taste like they are freshly caught and there is no skimping out in quality.
The various dips provide a sensory experience from crunchy, smooth and silky which all complement the proteins. I’m a huge fan of Harissa. Even when the food is delivered it tastes top notch.

There is no place in Seattle quite like Harissa.
The food is fantastic and unique as it reflects the personality of Chef Walid. Everything I have had here is great, but at the moment I am obsessed with the Eggplant salad!
Stop in on a Thursday and you will hear beautiful live jazz, come in on a Tuesday and there will be live tango music with a floor full of dancers. Other nights feature belly dancing, swing music. You never know what you’ll find!

Went here for the first time today – really really excellent kebabs and lovely family owned business. We plan to go back for one of their live music nights – highly recommend the best kebabs we have had in Seattle.

Google Maps took us to this restaurant because of its location and we LOVED it!!!! I prefer vegetarian and my family is very carnivorous, so it’s almost impossible to make us all happy. This place had the MOST DELICIOUS veggie casserole I have eaten in my whole life!!! And my family had 2 lamb platters and they ate every single molecule they were served. They were raving about the incredible flavor of the meat. We also had falafel (average), dolmas (extraordinary), the hummus plate (delicious) and baclavas (finger-licking worthy!). We also had a delightful dessert called Funefe. The place is not expensive for the quality of the food. Our group of four ate plenty (with leftovers enough for another generous meal) so $40 each meal, included tax and tip. For Seattle it’s a GREAT deal, because the food was EXCELLENT. We will be back for sure.

I had an outstanding dining experience at Harissa Mediterranean Cuisine in the University District. The food was exceptional — fresh, beautifully seasoned, and full of authentic Mediterranean flavor. Every dish had a perfect balance of spices and textures, and you can truly taste the passion behind the cooking.

A special thank you to Chef Walid, whose hospitality and kindness made the meal even more memorable. He personally checked on our table and made sure everything was perfect — a level of care you rarely see these days. His dedication to quality and genuine warmth makes Harissa feel like home.

The atmosphere is welcoming and elegant, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. Whether you’re enjoying a family meal, a date night, or hosting guests, Harissa is a fantastic choice.

I highly recommend Harissa and Chef Walid — a true culinary gem in Seattle!
I’ll definitely be returning and bringing friends.
