This place is hit and miss. The Service is generally poor. The owner has an attitude problem, especially in the morning when he is usually by himself. The food can be quite good, then some times it just isn’t. Hit and miss. It is a bit pricey, but the ingredients are of very good quality. The dinners are their best tastes, but they have acceptable food for all meals. I have eaten here several times, and would be willing to do it again, but I don’t rush to go again. It is the best food in Priest River.

Chef went our of his way to prepare a meal to my husband’s desire. WOW. Even though from out of town we will make a point to stop here whenever passing through Priest River. Waitress was a gem also!!!. Service was great! Meal was excellent! And all of it REAL food… And good food.

I have always been very happy with this restaurant. They have an awesome gluten free menu which is hard to find. However I’m very upset today. Today is Easter and I called and made reservations for 7:00 PM. When we arrived at 7:00 PM they where closing. A gentleman came to the door we explained we had reservations. He said I’m sorry we are closed. Imagine my dismay when now we have no where for me and my family to eat. In my opinion this is a horrible way to run your business. The funny thing I defended you to other people and I even recommended you. Now I’m not sure anymore maybe the bad reviews where deserved. Thank you for ruining our Easter dinner.

Do not go here! Came into a restaurant with 2 other tables at 9:45am. Did not get our breakfast until 11am. It was horrible, pancakes were box made huge, burnt and all different sizes. Most burnt bacon I have ever seen. Husband had a hair in his eggs, no apology. Eggs over easy were actually raw eggs. Have never experienced this poor of service ever!

The name is slightly misleading for this place, as I expected more of a sports grill scene, I suppose. This was far nicer than that, with a low light ambiance, and more of a fine dining atmosphere. The daily special was Salmon with Alfredo Pasta and Clam Chowder and I decided to try it. The chowder was probably the best Clam Chowder I’ve had. The salmon was cooked nicely, with a great flavor, however the alfredo sauce definitely could’ve used help. The prices seemed a little steep, but not horrible. If you are looking for a budget meal, this may not be your place, but if you’re looking for what would be considered fine dining in a small town, this is where you want to go.

Had unfortunate experience to eat here. The ribs tasted like rotten food. Chef admitted they were cooked over a week before then added more bbq sauce and heated in microwave. I ended up in the emergency room with documented food poisoning. Called owner. He sounded drunk and told me I was full of bullshi*. Will be calling my lawyer tomorrow. So much for my wifes and I romantic anniversary. Oh, and on way out, a mouse ran across the kitchen into dining room. Waitress says happens all the time. Will also call health department. Don’t know how they aren’t shut down.

Drove by the other day. PR Hardwood is now closed with sign saying new restaurant Settlement Inn is opening. After asking around same owners, so I would be leary of anything this Mark guy owns. If you call a pig a baby, its still a pig!!!

This is a SUPER place to eat! The owner/chef is a perfectionist, the service has always been First Cabin, and we have eaten there many times. This is by far the best place in Priest River or Newport to eat!

The staff was very friendly, no wait to get a table, a little chilly but was provided a small heater. The food was not impressive, I had the steak French dip, there were chunks of chared steak.
