I ate at the Carlyle Hardee’s on 10-17-25 and the food was prepared and tasted better than all my other visits. The crew fixed my lunch with care. Other times the sandwiches would be just thrown together. Great job.

This is the cleanest, most responsible Hardee’s we’ve visited in Illinois so far. The employees care about their jobs and the customers. Every time we’ve came in, they’ve been attentive to our orders and all the food has been 100% fresh. Usually when you walk into these establishments, the employees are holding private conversations about personal things and ignore the customers. In this location, you always hear them talking about cleaning that needs done to the establishment or which employee scrubbed what last and what needs done today or this weekend when there’s more staff. I am truly amazed by the way this location runs and think all of your locations should learn from this one. This one is in Carlyle, Illinois.

The drive-thru employee was very rude and impatient. So of course, she ended up getting my order wrong. I wanted a chicken sandwich without mayonnaise. I also asked for a turnover and she proceeded to tell me that it would take 7 minutes. So I just told her not to worry about it because it seemed like it was going to be an inconvenience to them. When I got to the window to pay, they went ahead and had me pull forward and I waited 10 minutes for my food anyway so I might as well have just gotten the turnover. When I checked the chicken sandwich, it had mayonnaise on it even though I asked for it not to. I took it back inside and the same drive-thru employee was also working the register. She was at the soda machine and didn’t even acknowledge me until I was standing at the counter and all she said was “what’s wrong with your order?” I told her that my chicken sandwich was not supposed to have mayonnaise and so she asked me if I just wanted them to take the same piece of chicken off of the same sandwich and remake it (it’s already covered in mayonnaise) or get a refund because they’ve already got their chicken machine shut down. This was at 8:20 at night. They don’t even close until 9:00. So if you want a chicken sandwich at this location, make sure to get there before 8:20 or they’ll just shut their machines down early. The employee was clearly aggravated and rude the entire time. Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name but she’s not hard to miss. She did apologize for the mistake and admit that she was the one that made the mistake and offered me a refund. Still, I don’t know why I keep going back here. They managed to screw something up and be incredibly rude every time.

Went thru the drive thru to order may 13th at 745ish the cashier was rude as could be I ask for one thing and I get a IS THAT ALL! Yelled at me I drove off b4 finishing I’m not gonna get yelled at for ordering 1 sandwich from somewhere that charges almost $15 to $20 a meal they had 3 cars there max they were not packed they were not busy at all I have worked there and have ran the place with 2 people it’s not that hard to make food and it’s not hard to put on a fake smile do better hardees you have in the past. I was gonna spend 30$ to 40$ but not anymore. Hope Gary or the manager take care of the employee with the attitude for no reason.
