I ordered a Bacon platter and asked for a different container for my biscuits and gravy so that when I pour my gravy in it, it doesn’t get all over my eggs and all of my other food. I could see the person in the drive-through line was having some problems in front of me with what food they got back. I pull up and she hands me the bag and I explained that I had asked for my biscuits and gravy to be put into a separate container. She then turns around to who I’m assuming is a manager or a supervisor and says that she had asked for a separate container for her biscuits and gravy with an attitude and then the said person says we don’t have time for that. We’re on a time limit, even though there was only one other person in line behind me. The lady then puts the box inside the bag, which is fine. I don’t mind putting my stuff in the container and then she hands me my bag and says we don’t have time. We’re on a time limit and then she slammed the window. I normally get breakfast here every day on the way to work or at least every other day. I will never go back to this location again.
After several minutes, a few customers briefly honked to try to get someone’s attention and understand the situation. When an employee eventually came out, the response was rude and passive-aggressive, including comments suggesting customers were being rude rather than calmly explaining what was happening. A clear, professional explanation upfront would have de-escalated the situation.
For comparison, I went to McDonald’s afterward and experienced a similar situation with cars piling up and no initial response. When someone honked, a gentleman came over the drive-through intercom and explained the situation kindly and professionally, which immediately cleared up any confusion. That level of communication made a big difference.
