The smoke from the bar is awful and irritates my asthma. There are 4 different chilis, each with a unique flavor profile. I really like the Texas chili, which is what’s pictured. My husband gets hot dogs with Cincinnati chili and loves it. Service is pretty good, a bit slow considering how few customers are seated.

I was so excited to find this place after all of the locations near me have closed. The food was comforting, delicious and economical. They have hand cut fries that are fried correctly and perfectly done. The Buffalo Chicken wrap was sauced correctly (I did order extra sauce but that’s just how I like things) and the chicken tasted delicious. It wasn’t a low grade tender used. We also had the Chili Mac 4 ways. We got the Texas Chili which to me was more just like taco meat and less like chili. It was still good all together once we added sour cream. I can’t wait to go back next time I am in town.
My only complaint is the smoke from the closed off bar area still was very thick and present in the non-smoking dining area. As someone who is highly sensitive to cigarette smoke, that was a turn off. It also kept me from venturing over to the huge bar area with lots of games and pool tables.

Greasy food. But amazing chili. Been twice in last week. The waitress is pretty quirky and reiterated she’s new. The smoke smell lingers and permeates the whole place. Just oozed out from the bar. If you bring children just be mindful. They have a jukebox and some old Hollywood posters. Decent place would recommend.

This is my go-to place for good chili! They have really good buffalo chicken salads too. Their concerts are always a blast and they have a cool bar and casino as well. 10/10!!

Good service and food. Thought I smelled smoke when came in which I thought was going to be an issue but either we got use to it or it went away. The dining room is no smoking but not sure about the bar. Food prices were average but we got lots of food aka fries. The chili sampler was a cool idea even thought I didn’t order chili. We are from out if state so can’t return but if we lived in the area we would be back.

Stopped for a bite on Friday evening. The restaurant wasn’t busy (bar was). We had top-notch service. Food was good and at a good value. Two dinners with alcoholic drinks for less than $50. We tried the Greek Chilli and the Quesadilla. Both dishes were fresh and tasty. We can see going there again and trying other dishes.

Omg I just saw Kaitlyn’s post! I was there too and saw every bit of what happened. The way the waitress Lauren acted was completely unacceptable. The girl she went off on had been nothing but sweet to everyone the entire night. She was polite, calm, and literally minding her own business.
So to watch Lauren suddenly raise her voice at her out of nowhere was honestly shocking. You could see how uncomfortable that whole table got, and even people at nearby tables were looking over because it was that uncalled for.
What made it even worse was how personal and petty Lauren made it. It felt less like a work issue and more like she had some weird jealousy or attitude toward that girl, and it showed. There was absolutely no reason for a paying customer to be spoken to like that. It completely ruined the vibe for everyone around. Thank Goodness we weren’t seated in here section or we would’ve left

Stopped by Hard Times for a late lunch and was not disappointed. We were greeted and seated quickly, our waitress took our drink order and brought us the chili sampler tray. All options were very yummy. I ordered the 5-Way Chili Mac with Texas Chili, my date ordered the 4-Way Chili Mac with Cincinnati and Terlingua Red (didn’t even know that was an option, mind blown). Both lunches were delivered promptly and were extra delicious. I wish we had some time to play pool, maybe next time. Will definitely return soon to try them Chili Taters.

My favorite place in the Fredericksburg area. I can’t say enough about this place. They always take care of me and I’m now a regular. This place has slots, pool tables, darts, live music, allllll of the sports on literally 100+ TVs and their food hits the spot. Fairest price in town as as bang for your buck as they have a nice special every day. It’s never a dull moment here as there is are always people here having a good time. The staff and management are good people and like I said, they’ll take care of you.
