We had dinner at Council Oak, while the service was exceptional, the food was just ok and definitely not worth the price. We had reservations and still waited 15 minutes past our reservation time for a table.
Some of the food tasted like lighter fluid. The chicken was dry and the steak was mediocre. The braised ribs and sauteed mushrooms and onions were very good. The lobster bisque was also good.

But I can’t say it was worth the price.

Saw the Little River Band in concert on this occasion but not the 1st time at HRC. It’s a good venue and it was a great show. It would have been better if attendees would stay in their seats instead of standing up or walking up to stand in front of the stage.
I enjoy viewing the outfits and instruments that are displayed throughout the casino.
I’m not a gambler but two of the ladies that went with my wife and me ended up winning over $600.

I recently attended a comedy show at this venue and had a generally positive experience. While I didn’t eat or gamble during my visit, so I can’t comment on those aspects, I can speak to the setup and atmosphere of the show itself. The venue is relatively small, which gives it a cozy and intimate feel—perfect for live performances where audience connection matters. Seating consisted of individual chairs arranged in rows, mimicking auditorium-style layout. However, it’s important to note that the room is essentially a ballroom with flat flooring, meaning there’s no incline or stadium-style elevation. As a result, all rows are on the same level, which could potentially affect sightlines depending on where you’re seated.

Fortunately, visibility of the stage was quite good from where I sat. Even if someone taller were seated in front of you, the venue had two large monitors positioned on either side of the stage, which helped ensure everyone could follow the performance without straining. The overall vibe was relaxed and comfortable, and the acoustics were solid—no issues hearing the performers clearly. If you’re looking for a casual, low-key spot to enjoy live comedy without the overwhelming scale of a large theater, this venue fits the bill nicely.

Visiting Cincinnati for a school. Had a free night and decided to venture to the casino. Love that the casino is non-smoking. So nice! Had a great meal in the Cafe. Nothing special, it was bar food like any other, but it was good. Played and won at music bingo. Played some slots, but lost money. Boo hoo. All in all, nice casino. If I ever find myself in Cincinnati again, I would definitely visit again.

Service is very slow. Ate dinner before show and came back for dessert. Wouldn’t have bother to post because I feel like HRC is just one of the places you assume over price for mediocre. Buuuuuut I could not have been more bummed about my “hot fudge brownie” with ZERO hot fudge. It was 20% brownie, 10% ice cream and 70% whipped cream with a light drizzle of chocolate syrup, definitely NOT hot fudge.

We went here on a Saturday and it was busy but not overwhelmingly so. They had a variety of tables, games, and slots. There were multiple restaurants on the parameter of the casino but not all of them were open. They also have a large bar in the center. All interactions with staff were good.
