I am from Texas this was some of the best smoked meat I have ever had in my life. We had the smoked sirloin, sausage and ribs. It was so flavorful and not dry at all! The servings where so large, and moist! The vibe is awesome and truly is something special! We took family from Hawaii there and they made the comment this is what the vision of texas is. Staff was super friendly and helpful!

Hard Eight is classic Texas pit BBQ, served market style. Brisket was perfect, as was the sausage, ribs, pulled pork. Get there early…Sunday at 1p the baked potatoes were gone! Excellent, and highly recommended.

Good Hill Country BBQ. Brisket had good bark and smoke to perfection. The sirloin was tender and flavorful. They will also cook steak to order. Great selection of drinks and sides. Try the shrimp poppers.

A fun place to eat. Almost cafeteria style. You order your choice of meat prior to entering and tell them how you want it cooked. Go inside and get all your sides and dessert. Had the barbecue pulled pork which was fabulous. The peach cobbler was fantastic! A fun family place.

Love the meats off the outdoor seasoned pits. Jalapeño sweet creamed corn is spot on. Complimentary beans are great! I would like to see buttered Texas toast as an option. The only negative is waiting on team to prep tray for a to-go box. It takes way too long, even with no one in line/not in rush for three trips there. Easily 10 plus minutes for them to do whatever they do in the back to put my selections from a tray to a to-go box. I ate the beans and chilled but just do not understand the wait. Should be a pretty immediate thing.

I’m an Oregonian, and I was there visiting family and just happened to be hungry while in passing. I’m so glad I was. THIS is bbq. It was unbelievable and I’ve never had anything like it. Ever. If you are in the area, run don’t walk, and get you some AMAZING food. The love that goes into it is evident with every single bite. If you like bbq, this is a religious experience.

We love the Hard 8 Stephenville location! Great food and quick service. We’ve been to the one in the DFW area but there’s really no comparison. We were coming back from a trip to Houston and went an hour out of our way just to come to this location. THE best BBQ we ever had.

Consistency from one to the next. Efficient system although the two guys seemed a little slow for lunch time. But very friendly and we’re working hard. The stuffed potato with brisket and then dressed with all the fixins. Really good needed a nap but had to get back to work.
