We have lived within walking distance to here for three years now, so with the new owners taking over and the pleasant reviews about it, we decided to go for a family dinner to give it a try. We were disappointed. ALL the portions were extremely small, especially the poutine which you had to pay extra money for upgrading your fries to it, the gravy was more watery than water, it was like they threw cheese and fries on top of watered down soup. My other half’s wrap was about 4 bites for the entire thing and very bland, plus it was missing bacon and the three chicken tenders my son got with his meal (adult) were only a bite or two each as well. My son’s soda was warm and flat and off tasting. All the fries were about the size of a child’s handful. The wings were cooked nicely, however the sauce was bland and pretty much flavourless. The veggie sticks that came with the wings were end pieces of vegetables that you don’t eat plus had off colouring throughout. We were all still hungry when we left. The view itself was lovely and it wasn’t too hot or cool when we went, nor were there many bugs. Our server was very thorough, informative, and fast, not to mention she was very polite and friendly. Overall, the place itself is great if you’re looking to go grab a drink and sit by the water, but not for a sit down meal, especially dinner.

Best wings in Northumberland County! Harbourview is a regular stop now with their amazing food, beautiful location, friendly, excellent staff and owner with wonderful views of the lake, it can’t be beat! If you’re a wing fan, Harbourview has the best, excellent flavour and nice big wings done just right! Have tried numerous appetizers and main course dishes and all have been amazing!

We came for lunch and ordered six wonderful dishes – a chicken and pesto roll, chicken curry, stir-fried chicken, fish and chips, a smash burger, and soup.
The food was simply excellent. The portions were large and very fresh. It felt like the chef gave each dish a personal touch. Everything came out at the same time.
The service was above and beyond, and the restrooms were very clean.
The view – it’s all worth it. With the breeze blowing, a cold beer, and delicious food, the experience was simply amazing.

Very cheery Christmas atmosphere and our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. As we were having lunch it was pretty quiet in the restaurant. It’s very clean and you can’t beat the view even in winter. Hubby had fish and chips which was good, fish was just a touch overdone but the fries and coleslaw were great. I had the lunch special, Pineapple Chicken over rice with Papadum. Excellent! Very large lunch portion and although sweet, the curry and crushed red pepper helped balance it out. Lots of very fresh vegetables too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this little local gem.

Never coming back!!! Our dog was stepped on by one of their guests as they tried to shuffle between our table and side step. The couple made a big scene about it when my dog nipped her. We offered to drive her for medical attention and was refused.
This guest was extremely discriminate , racist and initially presumed we did not understand english being extremely eccentric and making very large hand actions to explain how we should throw our dog in our car while we ate at the patio. (Dog was tied up and leashed at our table)
Then, I was told to leave by a server and said we were not welcomed here and the dog is not allowed on restaurant premises. We were then told we had to wait for our food because they had already started making it.
Apparently, they kick people out but then are greedy enough to tell them to stay longer so they can pack your food up for the road. Pathetic.
We went because of the location and we were hiking in the area. Read the reviews carefully before you go. Their food is expensive and is not really worth it.
We were courteous enough to stay as requested since they would have lost money if we had just left . We waited an insane long time for our food to be cooked packed and paid for even after they threatened us and told us to leave.

The only good things were their fries. Do not get their seafood jambalaya! It had dead mussels in it and is made with pasta. Contained only mussels and shrimp + some sausage pieces along with regular tomato pasta sauce. Think the garlic bead was half a hot dog bun cut in half. NOT worth $28!!!!!
We ended up paying well over 65$ for the below. Next time a burger shack would be much more satisfying .

The service was fast and on time, server were super chill with a smiling face. They would spend to explain what is the best one you could order, and yes the suggestion were excellent.
But the best part was view, the freshness you get while eat with a water view is out of this world. Totally worth it.

Good Food, Good Service
Had Calamri and Fish and Chips, both were “good”. My wife had the chicken ceasar. Nice view and recently refreshed interior.
Staff were friendly and helpful, I would likely go back and try this restaurant again.
Gave 4 stars out of 5, as they were out of a few draft beers going into the start of a long weekend and the food was good but not “great”.
