The HarborView Restaurant and Bar offers beautiful indoor and outdoor dining, with pet friendly outdoor areas. Please stop in and enjoy a meal or a drink while overlooking the scenic Noyo River. We offer breakfast, brunch/lunch, and dinner six days a week. We have an extensive wine and beer list, as well as an always-evolving craft cocktail selection. Happy Hour food is served from 3pm to 5:30pm, and Happy Hour drinks begin at 2pm.

Pleasant, cozy setting with views of the harbor. Service was relaxed and unhurried, adding to the calm atmosphere. Would not recommend. Very deceitful restaurant, very low quality ingredients though they portray themselves as a high quality place. It’s ok to not have high quality ingredients but it crosses the line when trying to portray that. Even the “butter” was so low quality it wouldn’t even melt. Lobster was so dry and tough to chew was like jerky. The “pasta” was low quality and dry, the lemon grass bowl was also just such low quality. Was so disappointed. Again, I wouldn’t have been disappointed (or gone) if they didn’t portray themselves as a high quality place.

Last night a group of us had dinner at HarborView Bistro and Bar in Fort Bragg. Even though I’ve been coming to the area for over 50 years, this was my first time here—and it won’t be the last. Parking can be a little tricky, but once you’re inside, the atmosphere more than makes up for it. We sat on the back deck overlooking the Noyo River. The view was fantastic, and we could hear sea lions across the water, which made the evening even more entertaining.
Service was excellent. We had reservations for 5:30, and we were seated promptly. Drink orders were taken right away, and their cocktails were well made and flavorful. I started with the clam chowder, which was unique with dill added for a fresh twist. It was rich and delicious. For my main course, I had the New York Pepper Steak, coated with crushed peppercorns in a red wine demi-glace, served with garlic mashed potatoes and local vegetables. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce tied everything together.
Our group also ordered the Stuffed Pan-Seared Petrale Sole, Sirloin & Shrimp Skewers, and Pan-Seared Scallops. Every dish was well received, and everyone at the table enjoyed their meals.

recently visited Harbor Bistro & Bar and had a wonderful dining experience overall. The pear martini was a standout—fresh, sweet, and perfectly balanced. My pancakes with fresh fruit were delicious as well, beautifully prepared and full of flavor.
The restaurant has a lovely view, which really adds to the atmosphere and makes the visit even more enjoyable.
I did experience a slightly longer wait than expected, and I would have appreciated if the server checked on me a bit sooner—especially for a coffee refill. It would also be great if guests were offered the Wi-Fi password upon being seated.
Despite those small areas for improvement, the food and ambiance were excellent. Thank you for a great meal!
