Went to dinner with the family tonight and chose this restaurant. I live abroad and miss many of my favorite foods, deep fried clam strips being one of them, which is why we decided on this restaurant. The clams arrived and were very dark. They had no flavor because they almost tasted burnt, they were so over cooked. The fries on all of our plates were over cooked as well. I brought it to the server’s attention and her answer was that was the way they cooked them there. She politely offered to bring another order but said, they too would be cooked the same way. I thought that was very strange, especially since I was paying $20.00 for the meal. I decided to eat them anyway but only ate about 1/2 of them. It was just very disappointing. If we go back, I’ll know better than to order them again.
On the plus side, the pattymelt and seasoned cheese bites were very good.

Oh… & boat approach access sure seems to be part of it!… what’s stopping ya from a evening visit? Kayaks, water planes & automobiles… heck, ATV or lawnmower it over…but get here!

We had our son’s rehearsal dinner here and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice! Fun atmosphere, great space, delicious burger bar, amazing service, decent prices. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and the service was efficient and friendly. If you’re doing a party or event, I highly recommend Happy’s Landing!

This place is a favorite for me! Julie and Alex have done such a great job with the place. Their staff is super friendly, the food is great, and I love how they shake up the menu to include new and amazing dishes. If you are a craft beer lover, they always have a great lineup of new flavors. They have been very helpful with accomodations for fundraisers that our riding organization has thrown there as well. If you are in the area, check out their Christmas themed bar room! Very cute and they have lots of holiday themed cocktails right now.

They were only partially staffed on a Monday, but very helpful and friendly. Food was a little slow (we were warned going in), but fried cod and shrimp were both good, and I enjoyed the selection of Michigan brews on tap.
The ‘sand bar’ porch is lovely with a nice view of the lake. I will definitely be back.

Went here last week, ordered the Mac and cheese with burn ends which was pretty good, I also ordered a plain salad (lettuce quality just ok) with dressing that was supposed to be $2.50. I get the bill and was charged $6.50 for the salad. I brought to server attention and she told me sorry about that it’s not written well and confusing and she thought I wanted a side salad for $6.50. Never offered a refund, just sorry. That isn’t good customer service, I didn’t eat the salad after trying it because as stated, quality wasn’t there. Not sure if we would return or not.

Not what I expected from the website. We had a larger group the service was fast and the food was good. If you are not a fan of well water order bottle cause you can taste it in everything. Overall good in a pinch or if you’re look for good fried bar food.
