Very good and classic, very nice family run, take-out. Old school as you have to call, no online ordering as of Dec ’25. Great Wonton Soup and House Special Fried Rice!

Food is good but not quite what it used to be. New owners took over a couple years back.

Big portion lunch specials for the price. The pork egg foo young was very good. Fried rice could’ve used a bit more flavor but overall a decent spot for quick chinese. 4/5 – Bryan B (customer)

Horrible. Not edible. I was so hungry it almost didn’t matter what I ordered but the chicken and broccoli tasted like it was bad meat and old. I couldn’t eat it. Very disappointed.

Grew up in oyster bay. Happy garden use to be the best place to get Chinese food. Since new owner ship, they changed everything. Sesame chicken use to hit harder than Mike Tyson. Not anymore. The Crab ragoon is different now too. I ordered it last night but instead I had a deep breath. I threw it out with disgust. I reallly hope they go back to how it use to be. Now I have to go over the bridge for Chinese food. The ppl who work there are very nice and I hope this message isn’t taken in a wrong way.

The food is made to order, so it is fresh, the place is really just for takeout, only 2 tables inside. The most challenging part is the entrance, 1) hard to find, and 2) large step up to the door, not good for the handicap, that being said, the service was great and attentive, maybe because I had my cane with me.

Vegetarian chicken menu items…I don’t know of any other Chinese restaurant in the immediate area that offers this! I usually have to settle for tofu and veggies. The owners are really friendly too. Ni hao!
Update: new owners are choosing frozen items instead of what seemed like freshly cooked (i.e. dumplings, scallion pancakes) and cooked in much more oil. The quality of some menu items has gone down.
