All the food we’ve had here is good. We’ve had a variety of foods here. Family sized aren’t really family sized but maybe for 2 people, max 3. I guess it depends on how much you order and eat.
Beef egg foo young is delicious, in my opinion. It’s a scrambled fried egg on top of big pieces of beef in a delicious gravy. Not like other places that have the small diced beef inside the egg patties.
Mongolian beef & tofu are delicious. Tasty sauce, green & white onions, mushrooms.
Orange chicken is good but a bit too sweet.
Egg rolls, crab rangoon, almond cookies are all good.
Beef fried rice is simple but good.
Rice served with their family sized servings. Not sure about lunch sizes. I believe it is white rice seasoned with soy sauce.
Staff is always friendly, helpful and prompt. Restaurant looks clean. Just a simple sit in restaurant. Bathroom is very dirty.

We usually do take out. The site is very easy to navigate and order online. And the time they give for your order to be done is always correct. If they say 25 minutes and we get there about that time our order is ready and hot and fresh.
What we order, which is for 3 people, everything is correct and as we ordered.
The food is always hot and tastes very good. We have favorites and they are always just as good as the time before.
We like Happy Wok. They have great egg rolls and for me, their sweet and sour chicken is my must have. I love that I can order without rice because there is always such a large amount of what you get the rice is just too much for me to eat. I love being able to order just the chicken.
The consistency and good food and excellent timing of when your food will be ready is such a plus for us.
I think that Happy Wok should have a higher rating but, it is perfect for us.

Haven’t been here in years… literally years!!! Moved out of town. Happened to be in Rockford, glad we were!!! Have not had good, Old school , NO FLUFF, Chinese food in forever!!! Sesame chicken, lo mein, fried rice… all of it!!! Phenomenal!!! GOOD JOB HAPPY WOK, WEVE MISSED THIS!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!

We ordered a family meal and were pleasantly surprised at how fast they had it ready. The food tastes wonderful! If you are dining in the place seems a little rough but the taste of the food has to make up for it. Definitely my favorite location.

Recently moved here a few months ago and today I been with my 2 year old daughter in the hospital due to asthma and been here since 4am this morning and decided to try food here. I ask my sister to go get me an egg fu young special , 2 egg rolls and a side of chicken fried rice and everything was nasty. The sauce was plan and the food smell funny. I ask for a refund and they didn’t give me one so I tried the food and it taste how it look nasty. I wasted 20 something dollars and still hungry. If you from “Chicago” do not buy.

I’ve seen quite a few reviews dogging on the wait time to order, but I myself have never had much of an issue. I think most people are just too demanding and spoiled by places like McDonald’s. Sure I have to wait maybe five minutes max sometimes to be seen to, but the ladies are always kind and have a smile! I’m certainly not bothered by the short wait to order because the food is very tasty! I’m glad I ignored the reviews and word of mouth I’ve gotten, because I find this place to be a worthy after work meal!!

Not the greatest place to sit down and eat but the food come on and the shrimp fried rice with actual shrimp that little tiny salad shrimp exactly what the doctors order. Love this place

We stopped in for a few orders of crab Rangoon and an order of sesame chicken. Just at good as it’s always been. The gal at the counter was friendly with a little nudging. We do not get food this good in Florida!!! Thank you happy work!!

Not bad. Lunch specials come with rice but no drink or egg roll. However, the price is right. I would order egg rolls on the side. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian beef. The fried rice is okay. I would go steamed rice next time. Mongolian Beef is better of the two, large beef pieces and includes mushrooms and lots of onions. The sauce is a little too much (soupy). A little on the sweet side. Will try again sometime soon.
