Happy Wok is my absolute favorite Chinese in Ann Arbor. The food is delicious, the chicken is never dry, and all their sauces are a hit. I’ve gone through quite a bit of their menu and never had a dish I wasn’t pleased by. Their General Tso and Sesame Chicken are amongst favorite cozy fare, both full of flavor, and the General Tso has a great pop of garlic. Both their lo mein and fried rice are good, and that’s a rarity. Veggies are always fresh, and they don’t skimp on them. Best egg rolls in town, hands down. Not a single complaint in sight. Prices are excellent to boot. Their food is consistent, well portioned and I’ve never had a single problem with the accuracy or deliciousness of my meal. They are always kind enough to accommodate my requests. I’m not someone who typically reads, or writes reviews- but Happy Wok has turned into my favorite neighborhood staple.

I ordered the Szechuan chicken with no bamboo sheets no baby corn and no water chestnuts. I just asked for fresh vegetables. It’s awesome. I think the sauce is pretty good and the fried rice is probably the most amazing since like middle Kingdom close down on Main Street they were they did an amazing fried rice and I’ve never found any fried rice in the entire United States to be as good as that but this place comes really close. I picked up from another Chinese restaurant off Jackson rd here in Ann Arbor. The fried rice there was really greasy and nasty and the pork was not good. I just threw it away but this place is awesome pork fried rice.

Best Chinese food in Ann Arbor – Hands down!!! Been coming here for years. New owners now. It was good before, but now it’s GREAT. We moved to Saline 6 years ago and there are 3 Chinese restaurants in Saline. I still drive to town to get Happy Wok because it’s just that good!! All the traditional dishes. Today it was Singapore rice noodles and Lo Mein. Delicious as always. They never disappoint. Seasoning just right, huge portions, very friendly service. This will be your new favorite joint for Chinese food.

This place is so awsome. Food is consistently good, portion consistent every time. Rangoons are “plump” with filling I can actually see veggies in there! Seafood boil also won’t disappoint. I get take out almost every week from here. Maybe it’s the decor but the place is bright and really clean.

I used to love this place, it was the best Chinese in town. Then something changed and everything suffered. No longer has homemade duck sauce, buys their dumplings at Costco along with the egg rolls and even the general tso chicken that once was so good it won a grubhub award is mediocre. Such a disappointment for a place I used to consider an ann arbor staple.

Great takeout Chinese food. I think the prices are fair, and the serving sizes are quite large. I would recommend trying this restaurant if you are looking for an affordable Chinese place with good food.

I got the $30 low country seafood boil and Happy Wok and loved the service. We got so much bang for our buck as well with very full bags, good seasoning, and decent sized crab legs. Will definitely be back!
