Happy Teriyaki: AKA my emotional support lunch spot
I’ve been to Happy Teriyaki at least 10 times, and every time I walk in, I feel like Norm from Cheers—except instead of beer, I’m here for the chicken breast bowl with extra spicy kitchen sauce on the side (because I like to feel alive, but not call 911).
The spicy chicken bowl is also —literally. It punches you in the mouth in the best way possible. And if you’re feeling adventurous or just can’t commit (no judgment), the combo plates let you try two meats and live your best indecisive life.
Let’s talk rice—it’s fluffier in the bowls, and I don’t know why, I just accept it. The cabbage? Always fresh. Always on point. Never weird or wilted. Honestly, I’d trust these people to cook for my wedding.
The staff is super friendly and quick—just make sure to show up before the lunch rush unless you enjoy fighting off hangry office workers for a table.
If Happy Teriyaki ever closes, I’ll cry actual tears and possibly start a petition. Highly, aggressively recommend.

This was really tasty! I got the spicy chicken bowl and gyoza. Service was friendly and fast and the food was excellent. The rice and vegetables were both perfect and great companions to the spicy chicken.
I’ll be back to try more of the menu for sure!

Really delicious and high quality food- we got boba drinks, orange chicken, terriyaki chicken, fried rice, and spring rolls. Definitely recommend any of it, especially the boba and the spring rolls

I ordered a standard chicken bowl. The chicken was cooked well and tasted good. I did have to add extra teriyaki sauce but there were bottles of it on the table.
The vegetables underneath were kind of soggy but there was a solid amount. I’m not sure if others would like the veggies and cabbage but it was delicious to me.
I also ordered a honeydew milk tea with mango popping pearls. It was delicious but seemed spendy for only a 20 oz. cup.
The restaurant was empty while ate my food and only one person came in for pick-up. The server was nice and attentive, maybe because I was the only customer there.
Overall, it want cheap, but it was tasty. I’d probably try this restaurant again.

Excited to happen upon this little joint after fond memories of a happy teriyaki where I grew up. Positives: super clean, boba tea drink was great, food was hot and fresh, staff was friendly, efficient, and pleasant. A little more flavor and a more steamed veggies in my bowl would have made this five stars.

The restaurant is very clean with very professional service. I ordered the Teriyaki and Orange Chicken combo. I was able to replace my rice with extra veggies at no additional charge. There was so much food with my order and the flavor was amazing. Each meal is made fresh so you have a slight wait but for fresh food it is always worth the wait. The price was reasonable and this meal could easily be split between 2 people.

What a great addition to Pleasant Grove. Clean restaurant and helpful employees. There is a big menu with a variety of options like different types of meats and sides. We ordered two happy bowls with teriyaki chicken breast, veggies, and fried rice. We also ordered a side of egg rolls (2 egg rolls).
The food itself was really impressive. It was hot and fresh. It was good quality. The chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. The veggies were tasty and the rice was good too. I loved the egg and carrot! The eggs rolls were a hit – we loved them! The price of the egg rolls is definitely overpriced. Two for $5. It should be two for $3. They’re regular sized. We were also charged additional for getting chicken breast and the fried rice (which was never communicated to us) which was a little frustrating.
