I went here with my girls wrestling team. There was 7 of us (including me), no one else was at the establishment except for us and my coach specifically told the lady that’d it’d be under the same card. So I thought, no rush right? Well my friend goes and orders, and the lady taking our order starts rushing us saying “next next” and looks like she’s getting impatient. So I go next and I’m looking at the menu and I say that I’d like to order fried rice. The lady said that the white rice was a side dish, and I told her no, I’d be ordering the fried rice. After going back and fourth a couple of times, she finally said what type of fried rice? I simply asked “what meat do you guys have?”… that’s when she tilted her head and rudely said “can you not read?”… excuse me? I’ll be honest, I never was rude to her nor did I give her attitude for her to treat me like that. My team comes all the way from Edmonds as we’re competing at state, I haven’t ate that entire day, and that’s how I get treated? Despite that, my friend’s food looked okay. Too bad I didn’t get to try any because I did not order after that encounter.

Excellent food. The chicken was perfect- melt in your mouth. Even the rice is exactly right. The sauce was not over whelming but getting all the way thru it. Not too salty but you know it’s there. I will absolutely be back even tho I live 30 miles away. That good.

The food here is delicious, for the price you get a fair amount and it’s served nice and pretty. Orders for two take between 10 and 15 minutes, but it’s totally worth the wait. Highly recommend the pork bowl. The interior is used entirely as storage, so there is no seating, but that’s not really on them This is to go food and whenever I’m in the area it’s my go to, for sure!

First time trying this place and it was pretty good! Service was quick and food was tasty. It’s a to go spot only but they are quick to serve. We got the Happy Combo 2 and it was delicious, love the fact that it had so many meat choices serve on top of noodles and a big size of white rice. It was perfect serving amount for me and my family. Price was normal as most teriyaki places I been too. I would definitely return again and try the other food they have to offer.

I am Very Impressed with, “Happy Teriyaki”!!! The food is great and I like that it is served in bowls instead of Styrofoam. They are open until 9:00 p.m. 7 days a week! Their prices are extremely reasonable. I will be going back!!!

I will say , the food is good, but I didn’t appreciate being treated like a criminal today.. I came in and order two.orders with a tea totaling $39.00. I gave the lady a 100 $ bill. She looked at it like it was fake and then told me she.doesnt have change . I told her the change should be 60$ . She stated she didn’t have change and gave me my money back.. now once again, the food is great, I ordered from here 3 times (through uber eats) but after today, unfortunately I will not be coming back. I rather spend my money at a place that doesn’t judge .. be blessed..

CURRENT UPDATE: 9/17/24
I ordered 2 Teriyaki bowls, one regular one spicy. The spicy chicken tasted like it sat there for days then oversauced them.
I asked for a refund, she said no. I see others complained about the food tasting old & no refund so PLEASE START REPORTING THEM TO KING COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT & BBB Because this is ridiculous.
the teriyaki bowl went up in price by $1 as they said it would, but my husband and I noticed that they give you way less chicken than when they 1st opened! Oh, and stay away from the orange chicken! It tasted stale and over sauced, and the egg rolls which I stopped ordering are no longer freshly made! 🙁 I just wanted to give an honest update!
UPDATE: UGH! I SHOULD BE A HATER & SAY THIS PLACE SUCKS, just so it don’t get so overcrowded & they start raising the prices! So, today, my husband upgraded his white rice to fried rice for an Itty bitty $2! AND MYYYYY GOODNESS! 3 weeks later & they’re still cheap & on point! BUT the fried rice will now be a permanent upgrade bc it’son a whole notha level! & because we’re equally yoked, he just now told me to edit my review & tell you guys about the fried rice! Oooooh wee!
Maaan! My husband and I were REALLY skeptical about ordering due to the reviews! Eeek! Thank goodness we prayed together and stood in agreement that EVERYTHING was going to be good because, honey, it was fiiiire!! And for just $10.99??? Yeeeah, GOOD LUCK, MATCHING QUALITY AND QUANTITY BECAUSE YOU WON’T FIND IT! HONESTLY, WE USED TO GO TO APPLE TERIYAKI ONLY FOR CONVIENCE BECAUSE I TOLD MY HUSBAND, THIS DOESN’T HOLD A CANDLE to the one in Lakewood! Portions are small, and the chicken tastes rancid, but hubby liked the convenience! WELL THANK GOODNESS I NO LONGER HAVE TO “SETTLE” for greatness! Thanks to Happy Teriyaki! It wasn’t over sauced like “other places” Yippee! Sorry about the egg rolls, but those too were huge and fire! I HIGHLY recommend you give it a try & get your money’s worth! ♥️

Probably the best bang for your buck teriyaki in the area! Do yourself a favor and get the spicy shrimp fried rice! You’ll eat for days!

I’m visiting from Spokane where the food is trash. We were driving around late at night and it’s really cool you can find places that aren’t regular fast food chains and teriyaki open past 8. The portion size is huge! Two of us shared a yakisoba bowl and we still have left overs. I like that it comes with rice and noodles. The younger man working was extremely pleasant and polite and the boba was good as well.
