I’m 58 years old in those 58 years I have eaten a lot of pork fried rice from various institutions and places what not this was by far the worst pork fried rice I’ve ever eaten in my life pork fried rice is not supposed to be sweet this was like it had teriyaki sauce or something mixed in with it and a huge chunks of fat not pork the pork it did have was not barbecued pork like most places use most places use traditional Chinese BBQ pork not this place they use big huge pieces of pork that had a lot of fat on them it was greasy it was sweet it did not taste anything like any pork fried rice I didn’t ever eaten in my life it was absolutely gross . I took one bite and threw the rest away that I paid $16.50 for it was not worth it ! I don’t imagine any of their other food is any better I only saw one person eating in there at lunch time he didn’t look real happy either. I would avoid this place at all possible costs they’re overpriced their service was really crappy and their food is horrible! There’s a Chinese Restaurant called the golden horse down on 4th Street in Chinatown where you can get a full meal for $12.50 a lunch time it’s almost more than you can eat and the food is excellent! Well worth the money but this place this Happy Teriyaki number one stay the hell away from it!

This is the only teriyaki place we go to anymore. It’s clean, has great portions, is quick, and priced well.
The chicken is grilled with great char marks and only twice in a dozen visits have I found any weird fatty or grisly bits- both were very small and never any bone bits.
The rice is flavorful (for plain rice), and it’s cooked perfectly every time. The veggies are sometimes undercooked, but I like them that way.
The teriyaki is the right amount to flavor everything without a huge sugar rush.
The prawn tempura is hit or miss- sometimes has a thin coating and is cooked well, sometimes the weird thick Chinese coating that’s a 1/4″ thick and rubbery.
The gyoza is delicious and still crispy even when delivered.
This is also one of the only places where I can get my hubby just the meat and veg separately without having to make a special request to skip the rice.
Overall, this is the best teriyaki I’ve found out of probably a dozen in town I’ve tried.

We usually always dine in and tonight we called for carry out and very disappointing the portion size of the spicy pork was so small and it was almost all fat pieces and our chicken was not cooked all the way and he found a hair in it. I called them to let them know how dissatisfied I was with the food and all they said is there is no change in the food it’s the same it’s always been.

Poor service. I get to the counter and the lady wants to bump me up 2 dollars when the menu has a price on it. I suggest going to another place.

My family and I have been dining here for years and are always pleased with service, food, and atmosphere. I recommend getting the family combo, perfect for a family of 4 that includes a great variety of dishes!

Teriyaki Chicken and Gyoza combo. All very good! Just picked up for takeout so I can’t really speak to the service/atmosphere.

We ordered delivery from here via UberEats tonight. Got four different teriyaki meals, and every meal was a winner. Everyone inhaled their food and declared it super yummy. Portions were great – lots of meat and rice, the cooked cabbage was a great side, and the teriyaki sauce was delicious! Prices were very good! We will def order from them again, it was awesome!

This is my go-to place for chicken teriyaki. Clean tables, kind cashier and cook (each time I come), not busy, and a chill place for a break from the day. Music is always good too. I has enough tables and chairs to seat seven different groups: Four 4-seats booths, one 2-seats booth, one set of tables and chairs for four people, and one set of tables and chairs for eight people.
As a note, I have been coming here for a year and a half now, so this is an earned review. The five-star review is to be understood that it is five stars for what should be expected of a small teriyaki restaurant. See the short video clip for a look of the inside of the restaurant from one corner of the restaurant.
