Such a cool place with amazing music and atmosphere! Huge shoutout to the musician who was covering modern hits in a Hawaiian style – honestly, that alone is worth coming here for.

The bar bites were also really good. We ordered the coconut shrimp and chicken wings, and the wings were so tasty we ended up getting a second order. Service was great and respectful.

My friends got beer and really enjoyed it. I ordered a cocktail and didn’t have the best luck with it – lots of ice and a bit too bitter for my taste. I wouldn’t recommend the Hanalei Sour.

One thing to note: the restroom isn’t inside the bar, it’s on the hotel property, so you’ll need to take a short walk.

Overall, I’d recommend this place mainly for the vibe and live music – such a fun experince!

It was a Wednesday evening, and we weren’t even that hungry. This night was more about live music, cocktails, a light bite, and just enjoying the atmosphere together. There were four of us, and that’s exactly why this spot made sense.

The place was packed — midweek, but full energy. You feel it right away: live music playing, people talking, that relaxed island vibe where everyone seems to be having a good time. We started with coffee martinis, beer, and some comfort food to share. Everything came out solid. Well cooked, nicely presented, and easy to enjoy without overthinking it.

At some point it got too comfortable — I ended up ordering another round of wings and decided to try a different cocktail, the Hanalei Sour. Glad I did. Drinks were balanced, not watered down, and clearly made with intention.

Now, being honest — because the place was so busy, service slowed down. I tried a few times to catch our server to order more drinks, and it took longer than expected. Nothing negative about the staff themselves, just a crowd-heavy night.

One thing that surprised me a bit: gratuity was already included in the bill. The total came out to $187 for four people, with the pre-tip total around $147. Not something I see often, but it didn’t affect the experience in a bad way.

Despite the lower overall rating online, I personally had a great evening here. The atmosphere is beautiful, the live music really sets the tone, and the place feels alive. For me, this is a strong 4.5 stars. It just misses a full 5 because of how busy it was and the slower service — but I’d absolutely come back.

Sometimes the vibe matters just as much as the food. This place understands that.

Great experience for extremely tired travelers who just made it from Texas, starting their day at 0330 TX Time.
The service is a 5/5 stars.
We arrived within an hour before closing, absolutely no one rushed us, they didn’t seem bothered by the late appearance, they even asked if we’d like more of anything super close to closing time.
Mark was the waiter, he was nice and helpful. I didn’t get anyone else’s name, but the hostest was very sweet, agreeing that airport food is not the way to live, and then the man clearing our table was also super nice.
The drinks are 5/5 for the strength, maybe a 4/5 for not covering the taste of the strength? None the less, I won’t turn down a strong drink by any means, keep them coming please.
The Happy Talk Shots (3 to choose from) comes in a glass shot glass that comes home with you. This is an automatic win in our book. We tried 2 of the 3, pretty good for keeping the shot glasses.
The food is 5/5 for what we did get and creativity. The menu isn’t huge, but it helped make choices, so that’s nice.
The Furikake fries, you will not be dissapointed at all. We almost got the pork sliders and didn’t. If I’d seen the fries before hand, we would have gotten the pork sliders just to eat the pork on the fries, if we go back we already decided we put the fries on the sliders.
The dish we got (very last item listed on the menu) was like a steak burger with a fried egg and sautéed onions on top, seated on a bed of rice, and there was brown gravy on it as well… there was something else on it I think but I don’t remember. It was delicious none the less. We thought we were getting a burger in all honesty when ordered, but we were NOT upset it came out like it did, we were actually much happier with what it really was.
Anyway, for a gorgeous view (it was dark when we went, but you could just tell it’s a beautiful area), friendly staff, strong drinks, this is a place to try!

Aloha! This is … If not the best, one of the best spots in the island for happy hours. The open concept with cross breeze keeps the temps comfy. The sunset view, depending on where you sit will be the golden hour! Let’s not get things mixed up – my review is heavily weighted on the bar and service, less so on food side. It’s a popular place and gets busy, so grabbing a spot at the bar can be a challenge. They accept reservations for the dining room and I recommend you do it if you are going at a busy time. Cocktails and wine menu is extensive – they are made well. Chili mangorita did light up our night. Longboard for beer, Negronis, rosé kept flowing. Service is fairly prompt, you won’t be waiting long before they tend to you. One of the best and most surprising things we had from the food menu was the Teriyaki fries or as I call them the ‘naughty fries’ – they get 5 stars for the ingenuity of the concoction and flavors. You can’t go wrong with the other items on the menu either. It is def a notch up from “just” bar food. The place is located at lobby of a hotel and has one of the best sunsets. For bathrooms you go out and down the stairs, passing the lovely fish pond and use the pool bathrooms. They are super clean and have plenty of stalls. We went there almost everyday for happy hour; so I extend my gratitude to all the staff that welcomed us and made us feel the fun. Enjoyed getting to know them and their unique personalities. They are pros and you are in good hands with this crew! Mahalo till next time!

Celebrating our 42nd Anniversary and stopped in to hear the music. Got the fish & chips and it did not disappoint! So flaky, Best I ever had! The music was just what we came for and that hula lady was natural, expressive and fun. Jenna (wait staff) was on top of her game!
