Always wanted to try hot pot and finally got the chance to try it and happy I chose this for first time. Definitely a great experience.

We ordered both the spicy and mild broths to get the best of both worlds. The flavors were surprisingly addictive and the whole experience of cooking everything at the table made it even more fun.

Must try spot.

Solid hotpot restaurant. Nice atmosphere and pretty clean. We can for lunch and they don’t have AYCE for lunch which was a bummer, but the lunch specials were okay. About $21 for lunch potluck.

The meats like ribeye, lamb, pork belly was pretty good. It just was a little on the quantity side. Quality-wise it was on par with most Happy Lambs.

The service was great- and people helpful. There is a sauce bar- and everything is pretty clean. Again the service was 5-star, but yes, it would be nice to have some more meat for lunch.

I would imagine dinner is more happening and a better deal and quantity, but this review is just for the lunch menu. Enjoy!

One of the better hot pot places in the Bay Area. You order à la carte, which is nice because you get to pick and choose what to get. The broth comes out first and then the rest of the items come out as soon as the kitchen has them ready (no particular order).

The beef and lamb is always flavorful here and decently priced. The veggie portions are big as well. Our meal for 4 adults was about $40 each, which included 3 meats + about 8 side dishes. It was more than enough food and we all left feeling full.

The staff does their best to be attentive to all the tables, but it does get busy during dinner time. Be prepared for a wait if you arrive after 6pm. Luckily, there is plenty of free parking in downtown Mtn View and it’s easy and convenient to find a spot.

Excellent attentive service team and thank you for the help . Nice presentation of food that’s fresh and tasty. Desserts were cute and tasty. One meat platter had dry ice effects with “smoke” and was very cool and fun . Excellent experience and will revisit.

The hotpot here is pretty good. If you like spicy food, just order the spicy broth. I never use the non-spicy one. My recommendation is don’t order a ton of food. Be sure what you want to eat. The seafood platter is pretty good.
If you don’t taste the difference between premium and cheaper meat cuts, just order the cheaper ones .
Ask for recommendations. It’s better than wasting food. They do allow takeaway though (but it’s not as good as eating in the pot).

This review for the lunch special. It’s an awesome deal. I was surprised by the entire setup. Totally worth it. I added extra meat. More food than I can eat and the variety is great too. Worth trying out if you are in the area.

Had an excellent lunch at Happy Lamb in downtown Mountain View! I tried the vegetarian mushroom broth with USDA Angus beef and lamb, plus bok choy, spinach, and quail eggs, absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The ingredients were super fresh, the broth rich but not heavy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Perfect spot for a cozy, satisfying hot pot meal! Highly recommend.

I came here on a cold winter evening, and the restaurant made us wait outside in the freezing weather with no clear explanation and no effort to accommodate guests. For a hotpot place, this is honestly unbelievable — customers are shivering before even getting a table.

When we finally sat down, they brought the wrong dishes. Instead of fixing the mistake, the staff acted dismissive and reluctant to replace the incorrect items. It felt like they were doing us a favor by correcting their own error.

What made the experience even worse was that they dropped the bill on our table before we were even done eating. No one asked if we needed anything else or if we were ready to wrap up. It felt rushed and rude, as if they couldn’t wait to get us out.

Overall, the service was careless, unprofessional, and completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable hotpot meal. Definitely would not recommend this place, especially given how many better options there are nearby.

This is a nice place at the end of Castro Street. The portions of meat and veggies are big, and the service is good. The Ribeye and Angus were especially tasty. The king oyster mushroom had a nice thick texture, which made it really good. The sauce bar was a little disappointing, with some sauces looking like they had been left out for too long, and it could use more variety. But overall, this is a solid place, and we will come back.

Went on 4pm before thanksgiving day. Not busy and we were sat down right away. Since this is our first time, the wait gave us a brief introduction and n how to order and the amount of food to order to avoid food waste.

Food was fresh. The soup base was tasty. This is not AYCE but the price was decent for each person.

Will visit again.
